The White Hart at Fyfield
With a passion for provenance, the kitchen sources food from the very best local suppliers and grow much of their own fruit and vegetables. Mark even fishes for his own crayfish and trout from the local reservoir! Cooking is modern British and menus change daily depending on what is fresh and seasonal - with the signature slow roasted pork belly, with foot long crackling, being a favourite.

I had lunch here during the week. Every aspect of the meal was perfect. The food was exceptional and our table by the fire was cosy. The service was friendly and very efficient. The interior of the pub is very attractive.
Superb food on fixed price lunch menu. Well presented excellent vfm
What all good pub food should taste like ! Very friendly efficient staff. Looking forward to dining again with you. Diolch yn fawr
Just so lovely- great atmosphere, great service, great food and we enjoyed it with great friends.
Thanks -we shall be back (again)
Presentation of the food was innovative and the taste did not disappoint. Service was provided at the right time and not intrusive.
Overall, a most enjoyable experience.
We had a lovely family meal - perfect Sunday lunch time get together. THank you
Booked a table for Saturday evening, return visit for us. Exceptional food and service again, one of our favourite places to eat
Love coming to the White Hart. You're always guaranteed a great meal, good value for money, and friendly service. Best restaurant around!
Such a perfect atmosphere for the colder months as there’s real fire places and a very cosy feel to the place. Incredible food and service all I would say is the creme brûlée with apples and blackberries dessert left more to be desired as I found the ice cream quite flavourless and the dessert as a whole too sweet but other than that the food was incredible and we will definitely be returning.
Wonderful place. Thoroughly recommend. Meat dishes wonderful. Veggie dishes very good.
We reserved an outdoor table and were so pleased. It was in the orangery and was very warm and beautifully decorated with fairy lights etc. Food was as amazing as always and the blackberry gin fizz was very moreish! Best evening out for along time. Well, since we were last here! Compliments to the hosts, chef, barstaff and waiting staff.
Superb food, excellent orangery for those like us who prefer to be in a very well veltilated location, and lovely touches that made my husband's 50th celebration very special. Thank you!
We have been three times over the past 6 months, and each time the meal has been delicious. Excellent wine, lovely building, friendly staff. This is now the restaurant we go to when we feel we deserve a treat!
Good food reasonably priced and attentive but discreet service
What a wonderful welcome! The manager and staff could not have been kinder- the food was delicious- I think perhaps there could have been a slightly larger portion on the main course pasta.
The staff were exceptional and the food was delicious. I could not find one fault . Should highly recommend
Another lovely meal, lovely staff, lovely food. Just altogether lovely, thank you!
We had been here to eat twice before. Lovely meals. We don’t eat meat but do eat fish and each time before there were lovely fish choices beautifully cooked, a plate of delicious breads to start with etc etc. This time it felt like getting the absolute minimum but for the same prices. The soup was ok, a slice of bread with it. No tray of lovely breads. Fish snd chips was the fish option. If we’d wanted that we’d have gone to a fish snd chip shop. It was ok but nothing special. We sat in the outside bit as we had before. The waiting staff seemed rattled when we first got there snd we dealt with a few different people. Some charming snd helpful snd some not. The whole experience was disappointing. We won’t be back based on that experience and won’t recommend any longer. What a shame
Thank you for your feedback. As mentioned when you arrived over an hour early for your booking, we did our very best to accommodate you earlier and managed to seat you ahead of your booking time, despite being fully booked. We were very patient, even when you asked us for the fifth time to sit down early. I am sorry you did not approve of the fish and chips as an option - they were one of many options you could have chosen on the menu. We hope to welcome you again soon.
Love this pub. Delicious food, lovely friendly and helpful staff, and beautiful building.
Fantastic place for Sunday lunch, amazing food and excellent service. We will definitely be back!
Excellent service and food, such a fantastic place
Great atmosphere, great food and friendly service. Highly recommend for an evening meal
I found that the monkfish dish and the agnolotti had more ingredients/flavours than necessary.
great food , unpretentious, relaxed but attentive service - just everything so yummy! If I could eat out only once a year it would be here!
Absolutely wonderful dining experience. This was Game Night i.e. venison, rabbit, boar etc. and it was amazing good, presented beautifully and it was delicious. The chefs and front of house team are the best and are very professional in every they do for us diners. First class.
What a lovely find! Everyone was polite and friendly. The food was so tasty and delivered to our table by a very friendly waitress who tended us all evening. A five star find! We would defo return.
Always a favourite place to go for a decent meal and service. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.
Superb service, lovely staff and excellent food. Definitely come again.
All the food is delicious served in just the right quantities- lovely friendly atmosphere
As always the food was delicious.
The waitress was attentive and the drinks server was friendly :)
Love this place and love the food .
We had not been to the White Hart for some years but booked this lunch with friends for our wedding anniversary. Positive points were the excellent service fro staff and management. Disappointed with the Sunday lunch though - it was small portions, well cooked but relatively expensive. Will try an evening meal in the week sometime.
Fantastic service and lovely food. Great place for a celebration.
Wish they had a mixed mezzo/antipasti board!
Outdoor area lovely too.
Fantastic food, very accommodating, we’d booked for 5 but a couple of our party couldn’t make it due to illness. The pork belly is one of the best I’ve ever tried and the apple, calvados creme brûlée and blackcurrant ice cream is superb! Definitely will be back, even if it was 72 miles from my home in London.
The team at The White Hart could not have been more delightful. It was my partners birthday, and from the birthday card on the table through to some birthday truffles at the end of the meal it was made to feel like a special occasion. The food was gorgeous, the setting spectacular- highly recommend!
Great food. Choose the pork. You won’t regret it.
Absolutely delicious food. All the flavours in the monkfish dish were amazing and complemented each other very well. Not what I could rustle up at home that’s for sure! The signature pork belly was great as usual. Our only ‘criticism’ was that it would have been nice to have had some greens included with the dishes as main courses aren’t cheap. Or a side of veg to be shared amongst 3 diners.
Desserts were very good too. As was the service.
Set lunch menu
Very tasty food. Friendly and efficient service. I had the fish and chips which was excellent - chips were hot and nicely cooked and the flavours of the crushed peas and tartare sauce were fresh and tasty. My husband had a salmon starter and vegetarian curry as a main. While he thought both were tasty, well cooked and presented, he felt the portions were on the small size.
We have been here about 7 times over the years , quire a few to celebrate our birthdays
We live in Northamptonshire so it isn’t local but it is our favourite place
We brought special relatives/friends and they were blown away with the food and the beauty and history of the pub
David snd Richard had the charcuterie sharing board which was delicious and very substantial
2 then had the pork ( David nearly always does !! ) and 2 of us had the delicious monkfish
Already looking forward to when we might next visit !!!
A jewel of a place
Lovely friendly staff
Food was excellent
Would definitely return and highly recommend
We are always guaranteed an excellent meal and will travel some distance to go to this excellent pub
Overall ok but for 19 quid the portion size was for a child for the spinach pumpkin pasta. Left straight after mains because of that.
