Publikum sehr angenehm - viele Briten. Nächstes Mal wieder sehr gern.
Firstly we booked high tea at 2.30pm, but tea did not start till 3pm. We sat at the table for quite some time and had to request menu’s. Waiters did not ask if we had any dietary requirements so we were surprised to see beef sandwiches on the selection. We asked to return the beef which the waiter did. Waiter then proceeded to explain what each of the cakes were. When i asked him which one he made, waiter replied ‘I’ve got a 100 high teas to serve’ and walked off. We were all shocked at his response.
Later on when we were ready to pay, we ordered the bill and paid. Some 10 minutes later while we still sat at the table, another waiter asked if we were leaving soon. I said yes. Then he brought over the bill again. I said we’d already paid. He apologised and said no one had told him.
It was my sisters 50th birthday tea, but it wasn’t the smoothest of teas.
Oh and I ordered Assam tea, but my tea was forgotten so I actually had to get up to ask for tea as impossible to catch anyone’s eye!
Best egg benedict and french toast ever!
Beautiful space and very professional waiting staff. One excellent eggs Florentine. Pity about the avocado toast. Toasted on one side only and served cold with a big hunk of inedible avocado. Expressos also lukewarm
The Wolseley has a great vibe and I love the staff, very friendly and accommodating.
Absolutely superb as always. The Omelette “Arnold Bennett” was the best I have ever tasted.
Great restaurant,I never miss it when in London. Great attentive service, not overbearing. Very good, tastely well prepared food. Highly recommended
I had ordered a side order of salmon but this didn't come! Other than that it was very nice
Always glamorous and stylish. Great service, small but perfectly formed menu and fabulous ambience. The ideal place for a special occasion, such as our early Valentines.
Beautiful setting and elegant service. Food less good than what you’d expect in such a fancy restaurant. It wasn’t bad but not amazing.
Never disappoints. Arrived thirty minutes early and after a delicious Bloody Mary in the bar our table was ready miraculously quickly. Wonderful
We've dined on a few occassions at The Wolseley and it always pleases. The menu caters for a cross section of tastes and the wine selection is excellent - for something special this a place to dine.
This place has become my go-to place for a business meal: breakfast lunch or dinner. I’m in the UK 4-5 times a year and always visit at least once.
Food decor and service are tops.
Really good food and atmosphere. Nice staff
Had afternoon tea there and the food was not bad. However, the service was horrible, most of the staff were rude and not treating us like customers. Will not come back again!
the standard never drops here and the staff are great . breakfast is brilliant also
Excellent service and atmosphere and the food was exquisite. I would highly recommend this restaurant and already a friend has booked it on my recommendation. I will return without hesitation.
Service was abysmal. Slow to take order, slow for food to arrive, and extremely slow to remove dirty plates . Waitress had a miserable demeanour and threw the food down.
Love The Wolesley. And always make it a spot when we visited London. Have the flat iron steak and frites. Delicious.
Had wanted to go here for a long time. Very disappointing dinner for two on a Sunday night. Main courses were cold and had to be sent back. Steak was not good. I might try breakfast as this seems to have good reviews, but I’d not have dinner here again. They did take the cost of wine off the bill which was fair enough. Such a shame about the food, the venue is beautiful.
Fabulous! I ordered the afternoon tea with my friend. 6 kinds of cakes, 5kinds of sandwiches and scone welcomed me. Services and the atmosphere of the restaurant were also good. Price is reasonable. Very good restaurant!
Superb but don't tackle two courses. I had yoghurt and crunch followed by haggis and duck eggs and couldn't eat again for 24 hours. All delicious mind. Two suggestions. Beautiful coffee pots don't seem to be vacuum flasks so first pot a bit tepid on second cup. Also I could have done with a sharper knife.
Second visit not as good as the first. Food tasty but served luke warm. Nice ambience.
Unlike previous visits, we had to wait at least 40 minutes between the main courses and starters and when it arrived we had to send the fries back as it was cold!
Always enjoy dining at The Wolseley. The staff are very attentive and make you feel special. It was our wedding anniversary and we got a lovely special celebratory sweet treat as a little extra. Any request is no trouble and the lovely high ceilings of the restaurant give it an elegant feel. Somehow this restaurant is suitable for special occasions yet also business dining - such is the great ambiance, service and attention to detail.
Table next to ours had a baby and stroller at dinnertime which wasn't great
I’ve never had anything other than a great meal at the Wolseley.
Food was okay, service was good, and the ambience was great
Menu is boring, they have strict deadlines around when breakfast/lunch/tea/dinner ends - be aware, service was poor - waiter was never around and, for example, after two reminders about the bread we asked for kept telling us it’s coming.. come for the ambiance, scones and tea and a pompous and old-fashioned tourist magnet. Choose a slow day.
Wonderful venue for a lunch out with friends. At times we felt a little rushed by one of the servers due to our table being booked by another party directly afterwards but thankfully this didn’t impair the experience too much.
I guess that the background noise is an inevitable consequence of the shape of the building and the popularity of the restaurant. But if you are hard of hearing the background noise could spoil the evening.
The food was delicious, cooked exactly as I had asked.
The Wolseley is unique. Always 5*
Overall a very good experience. Good service and food.
Had the tea service. Sandwiches and tea were nice. Scones were surprisingly average. Service was good but included some British arrogance towards the end. Beautiful restaurant and my son really enjoyed the burger. Probably would go somewhere else next time.
Another server was really attentive to our needs when we couldn’t find our server
