Always good. However this time around, one item was not so good. Shrimp cocktail. Perfection. Market catch of the day perfect. Fish/chips. Just awful. Fish and chips are supposed to be big and bulky, 1 inch or larger, fall apart when you pick them up sort of fish. These were 1/4" thin batter with hardly any fish. Not what I would expect from TJs. Go to The Old Monk or Meddlesome Moth for good examples of Fish and Chips, but please work on these. I will be back, but not for fish and chips.

Our first visit to TJ’s and my friends, my sister and I all agreed the whole experience was wonderful and definitely called for a return visit! Our server was terrific! She was very attentive without hovering and made great recommendations as to food choices. Our reservation was for 7:00 and we were seated on time. The best part was the food! Three of us chose the bacon wrapped scallops and the fourth opted for a salad and the appetizer size mussels. Our appetizer was the lava shrimp which was so delicious we wanted to make it our entree. Definitely recommend TJ’s for a special occasion or just an enjoyable dining w

Service was okay. Food was okay- I was expecting better! My salad was good but the dressing was boring- you need more options. My crab cake and hush puppies were almost burnt so I couldn’t eat them all. The shrimp tacos and poboy were huge! Kids meal shrimp were huge.

Everything we ordered was absolutely wonderful! We started with the rosemary focaccia with dill caper sauce and half a dozen oysters on the half shell. For the salad course we chose the Cesar salad, the dressing was perfect and I'm a Cesar dressing snob. For entrees we had cioppino, halibut (catch of the day) and blackened Idaho trout with creole sauce (sauce was spicy but not overpowering and had great flavor). For desert we had key lime cheesecake, perfect size to share for three people, rich enough to feel satisfied but not overly stuffed. We will definitely be coming back here!

Unfortunately this wasn’t our favorite dining experience at TJs which is a local go to for us. We ordered soup which took over 30 min to deliver, apparently because the kitchen was short staffed and while the soup was delicious, the lack of communication and delinquent service out a real damper in our experience.
