Contemporary American | Downtown / Financial District, Toronto

A very good dinner- all courses. The staff kindly moved is to the patio after one companion wanted to sit outside. The one unusual issue is there is only one washroom for men and women and staff for a very large number of people. More

Everything aside from our lead server was amazing. Food, atmosphere, all other service staff top notch. Our main server did not seem too on the ball and rushed us through. Only brought one main. We ordered apps and she said kitchen is busy order everything at one. We did and apps arrived like a minute later!! Poured flatbwatwr in our sparkling water. #lethargic More

Steakhouse | Downtown / Financial District, Toronto

We chose this restaurant as is close to theatre. First off the staff at Casa Fuego are ALL exceptional! They really understand their brand and food and were so helpful in assisting us on what to order. As we were in a rush as had to get to a theatre show, they affiliated our drinks and order in a timely manner. Their cocktails are superb and they put a lot of care into them. We ordered some appetizers and some proteins. As we were limited on time we defiantly want to come back to enjoy some of their other dishes. The beef short rib was phenomenal! Tender and so tasty with the special sauces and salts. Also we tried the black cod which was like eating butter! So good. This place is best enjoyed sharing so make sure you are comfy with the people you bring here. More

Ate dinner at Miijidaa during a weekend visit to Guelph with a handful of buddies. The space was beautiful, service friendly and the food delicious. There were some skeptics in the group at the beginning but by the end of dinner everyone had to admit Miijidaa exceeded our expectations. A must visit if you're in Guelph and looking for a memorable meal. More

Yasu - Sushi Bar
4. Yasu - Sushi Bar

Japanese | Harbord Village, Toronto

Yasu is as close as Toronto gets to Sukiyabashi Jiro, the famed Michelin Star sushi restaurant in Tokyo; the restaurant in the documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi. It is an omekase, reservations only establishment. There is no menu. There are no rolls. There is no soy sauce or wasabi or ginger to drown out the spectacular flavors of each dish. The restaurant is small, seating only 12 at the bar. There are no decorations. It is, quite simply, serious sushi served in its purest form with impeccable service and attention to detail. They will ask if there is anything you don’t like, however. The fish is, quite simply, the freshest I have ever had, and the uni (usually a borderline edible sushi), was so fresh, and tender and without fishy taste, that I wish I could have had several more pieces. The scallop was out of this world. If you choose the sake pairing (another $65), you get four outstanding pours (maybe 5?), each one delicious and fresh. Highly recommended! More

Sushi | Yonge and Lawrence, Toronto

True omakase experience. This is the closest, outside of Japan, to what we have experienced at 2-3 Michelin star restaurants in Tokyo. The sushi and sashimi are the best I’ve had in Toronto. Great variety. The smaller menu has a lot of food! More

Ascari
Ascari
Italian | King West, Toronto

Bringing the flavours and staple dishes that have made Ascari Enoteca in Leslieville special, to the west end of Toronto.

We love food. We love wine. We love racing. So we named Ascari after one of our heroes, 1950's Italian racing legend, Alberto Ascari. He was as famous for his appetite for food and wine as he was for his talent for racing, earning him the nickname "ciccio" – Italian for 'chubby'. Here you'll find homemade pastas made fresh in house every single day, plus a truly unique wine list. More

Pizza e Pazzi
Pizza e Pazzi
Italian | St. Clair West, Toronto

Pizza e Pazzi – translated as “Pizza and the Crazies”, is an authentic Italian pizzeria. Although it has been satisfying customers’ hungry stomach for years, in March of 2017, it reopened with a new ownership of our five-member, three-generation kitchen bound family. Our one goal is to make Pizza e Pazzi’s already delicious authentic Neapolitan cuisine even greater.
