Service was outstanding. Pamela was a pleasure. The ambiance is outstanding with great old historic architecture. The food however was average at best. The steak was tough and over cooked for all 3 of us. So for the pricey meal tab I would not recommend.
We had a wonderful dinner. Food and service were exceptional! Thank you to everyone at Tosca's.
As always the food at Tosca was excellent and our service was superb.
We hadn’t been for awhile so it was nice to return. We were seated by the window which was quite chilly! Otherwise it was a pleasant return visit!
Every meal (of at least 10) has been delicious! Fresh, well-seasoned, variety of flavors.
The meal was near flawless as usual. The female bartender was a bit slow in taking our pre/dinner drink order at the bar...she possibly could have used some help.
The food was excellent as always and the server was great, she was very informative and kind. Always a great experience here!
Very loud. Need noise control measures. Way too expensive. Same/better meal at Scarlet Oak Tavern for half the price! Nice room and good food. Too bad. Easy fix.
Prices were through the roof (over 50 bucks and no sides included), service was slow, menu choices were quite a few and despite having a reservation we were seated 20 mins late. Overall wouldn’t recommend it!
Their filet is always served raw when you ask for it med rare, undercooked!
And the maidredee is an AH!@#
They should call him a maitreDont. No personality, including the old hagg standing next to him!!!
The only one working her tail off was the tall blond girl, they wouldn't seem to help her set tables, yet they seem to all have same jobs!!! So people were just standing around waiting to be seated. His only concern was cleaning the menus. Worst night ever!
The lamb chop is what I get every time, and is without question the best dish I've had on the south shore.
New Year's Eve is tough for a restaurant but Tosca "nailed it." Service and food excellent
New year's Eve was very crowded and noisy. Very small table, tight to the next table. Food was excellent, service was good.
service was great, pace of the experience was great, New years eve and didn't fell rushed, just a very enjoyable dinner and drinks
Love Toscas. The waitstaff is always professional, curteous, and informed. The food is delicious. The acoustics are great for conversation with great background music to make it feel like a night out. My go to for special..Love Toscas.
Tea was cold and weak after steeping, need to boil water and add a tea bag
We always get the sirloin medallions, which are heaven, and the mashed potatoes are really good too. The restaurant looked so pretty for the holidays, I changed my seat so I could look at the whole place, it looked magical.
Great food. Great waitstaff. Beautiful atmosphere .easy to get a reservation .
Always a great place Food was great service top notch
We love tosca. Other than Rachel being our initial server who was removed from our table we had a great night. The nice young man who took over was superb.
We have been going to Tosca for almost 20 yrs.. We have never been disappointed with all aspects of our visit. From reservation accomodations to cocktails, apps, entrée and desert. a completely enjoyable experience. I could not give a higher recommendation.
Great food and very attentive service. Lovely ambiance
Christmas dinner with my husband.
Overall, good food. But for $160 for two people, I'd rather be at Top of The Hub in Boston overlooking the city. In addition, the host brought us to a table that we reserved weeks in advance that was in a corner that I couldn't even seat myself into and she just stared as I struggled moving the table. Very disappointed with the service at the beginning before we even sat down.
The best !! I could not recommend this place enough.
Always a great experience! Love Tosca!
Tosca's was very good overall. The food was absolutely great, and the server was very attentive as well. The only thing that was off-putting was the level of noise. It was not just loud, but you couldn't carry on a conversation, because you couldn't hear what the other people were saying. That made it not very enjoyable, which is too bad.
This place is a gem, we'll be returning soon; however, something has to be done about the noise level in the dining room. Yes, the restaurant was packed. Yes, it was a Sunday evening before Christmas Eve so there was celebration going on. But the noise level was so high we could not hear each other at our table for two, so much for conversation over dinner. So, we asked to move back to the bar where is was a bit less noise. At the bar, we very much enjoyed our meal, all courses were prepared to perfection. The wine was fantastic and we were able to enjoy our conversation. It turned out to be a very nice evening.
Christmas dinner with my wife. Everything was great. A bit overpriced, but I knew that before coming. Open kitchen concept so you will leave smelling like food. Beware!
This was the absolute worst experience of my life. I chose not to leave a yelp review but this email prompted me to say something. Our server nick was an absolute joke who neglected my girlfriend and I. We were spoken to in a condescending tone after both our wine orders and food were messed up. I used to love toscas but this visit I spent $100 and left absolutely enraged. I will never return to this home of a restaurant.
Wonderful service and excellent food. Our waiter Tim was outstanding.
Always great service and great food at Tosca! Consistently good!
Went for dinner with friends on. Sunday night. A bit quieter there than usual with keeps the noise level down as it can be tough to hear. Food is always good and creative. Only issue was our friends’ swordfish was slightly undercooked and had to be sent back. Otherwise, delicious!
I have been to Tosca many times. The food is always good, but it is pricey. They change the menu seasonally, which is fine, but this time the cheese tray was more expensive but also smaller than the last time we had it.
Always a favorite - always an amazing experience. We love Jackie - one of the BEST servers in the business. She transforms a dinner into a dining experience. Be sure to ask for her when you make a reservation.
It was my son’s 23rd birthday and we had 8 adults. Our waiters name was David and he was exceptional as was the food and atmosphere. We had a 5:30 reservation so I anticipated the staff to hurry us along but it was to the contrary. Excellent food, atmosphere and service. While the food is a bit pricey, I don’t mind paying if it lives up to the price. It certainly did. Thank you!
One of our favorite places on the South Shore. Cozy and warm ambiance (we usually sit in the more casual bar area). Consistently very professional, attentive and friendly service. Food quality, taste, and consistency is always very good. Solid drink and wine list.
The only downside is that we have been coming here for years and wish the menu would change a little more on a seasonal or yearly basis.
Note: If you like bar seating, it's always very busy on weekends, usually between 6 and 8pm.
Used to love Toscanini chicken/chic under a brick. The last two times have not been good. Sauce last time was so sweet is
Was barely edible. This last time chic was so small and thin thin it was completely dry. Not a hard dish that used to be so good. Disappointed. Wish they’d change the menus . Need a an update!
Tosca’s is one of the finer restaurants I have been for dinner. The quality of food, atmosphere, and decor are not only make them one of the best of the south shore, they easily are among the best restaurants in Boston. My wife and I have visited many of the finer restaurants in Boston, including Grill 23, Capital Grill, Delfrisco’s, Abe & Louie’s and many more, and I would say Tosca’s is one of the better-quality establishments we have had the pleasure of dinning with, and have been going here for over 15 years.
