Tuscan Kitchen Burlington
We surround you with warm, cozy dining spaces within extensive seating (parties up to 18/persons). The large, outdoor pergola/patio offers seasonal dining.
Some of the most beautiful and extensive private dining spaces within greater Boston; please call us for a tailored event.
Our in-store market offers hundreds of items to bring home; handmade ravioli and pastas, ready-made fresh sauces, oven-baked breads and pastries along with old world salumi offerings, made & aged by us.
Service was pretty spotty. We asked for a ginger ale for my pregnant wife upon sitting down and 30 min later, it still hadnt been served. No one offered to take our coats before squeezing us into a four person booth with room enough for 2 large adults (which my friend and I are--our wives basically sat on our laps. The food was very good but the water refiller just stares at you and circles constabtly. The men's room was a disgrace.
Excellent food and service. Very relaxing and the noise level is probably one of the best managed ones I've encountered.
Food was good, but nothing creative or extremely interesting or especially well prepared. It is convenient to the Burlington mall and much better ambience than the mall. Also they have a free electric car charging system in the garage
We really wanted to like this place - really we did. It was a birthday celebration and we'd been looking forward to it all week. Unfortunately, the food was just ok - really nothing to write home about - and the gluten free ravioli my daughter ordered was un-edible - twice. The bolognese Hubby and I ordered left us saying - where's the meat? I had called ahead to make sure we could bring in a birthday cake, got the ok from whomever answered the phone, and planned accordingly. We do this all the time, and I always bring our own birthday plates, napkins and even utensils. No candles of course. Well, the waiter, in a nice way...but still...told us the restaurant policy was no birthday cakes unless they supply them. That would not have worked in our case as it had to be gluten-free. If we'd known this, we would have chosen another restaurant. We did get to have the cake but due to the "lecture" by the waiter, along with the ravioli incident, cast a pall over the meal. We tried the Salem, NH location shortly after they first opened and were not impressed with the food then, but felt we owned them a second chance. Alas - We will not be back.
Great food and great atmosphere
Food was delicious but small portions at large price. Few people in the restaurant but waiter seemed distracted. Expensive for what we got.
I've been to this restaurant five times now and have not been disappointed. The food is outstanding. I love going to Tuscany and this is the next best thing. On our last visit, our waiter, Edson, was also excellent. He made our visit better than usual. I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait for my next visit.
Great atmosphere for romance or just to go with a friend you haven’t seen in years and want to catch up. Food is excellent with terrific choices and flexibility. I can’t wait to go back!
Great food, really good prices, overall would go back for sure
The food was probably some of the best Italian I've had. They have half portions of ravioli so we tried the lobster rav & the sausage...both were scrumptious! We also shared the chicken parm, which was delicious and HUGE. Plenty left to take home. The Caesar salad was definitely the best I've ever had. Here's what we didn't like....the server was overall pretty good but clearly needed more training on the wine. It's an extensive wine list but when we ordered the 2 different bottles, we ordered by its name but he asked for the "number" on the wine list. For the prices of the wine, it was really inappropriate for him to ask that & although I didn't expect a somalia, there's something in between. He clearly knew nothing about wine at all evidenced by the answers he gave (not sure he knew more than white vs red). When he brought the 2 bottles, there was no shelf or side table to set down anything (management's fault on that) so whatever needed to be set down, was done so in front of me, at my place setting which included the 2nd bottle while he uncorked the 1st, then the cork and foil from the 1st bottle while he opened the 2nd. Again, for the price point of this restaurant, the servers should be trained a little better (coming from someone who was a server for 10 years). Overall, definitely a fantastic restaurant and we will be back!
Our family was pleased with the food... Our server was not very personable. What we were most disapointed with was our seating arrangement. We were a party of four, which was clearly stated in our reservation. We were seated at a table that was semi-circular for a much larger party. We could barely hear each other talk. I was so disappointed! In the end it was not the evening I was hoping for.
On a Friday at 7pm, many of the menu items were unavailable.
Everything seemed to meet expectations, but the food was just...meh.
Love that our waitress did not rush us to order. When old friends get together we talk more than anything else!
Overpriced. No better than Bertuccis. Bertuccis has fr better pizza.
It was good visit. Great service. My server offer the Gluten Free option. My only issue is that there wasn't gluten free bread options and all the Gluten free desserts were not offered
Your meal are not delicios and poor thete ıs no enough pieces
I have always enjoyed the Tuscan kitchen far it’s generally good food. I was very disappointed by my meal during my visit on January 5. I ordered the meatball appetizer and the sausage entrée. Both were very disappointing.
The meatball was rather hard and dry—apparently overcooked. The tomato sauce around it had its usual excellent taste however.
The “salsiccia” entrée was clearly over-cooked. The sausage was quite hard and very unpleasant. It came with potatoes that had almost no taste. I should have sent it all back.
On the plus side, my wife ordered the meat-stuffed ravioli and they were excellent.
I revisited the Tuscan Kitchen a few days later for a beer and pizza. No complaints this time! Out of curiosity I also ordered a meatball appetizer. I was pleased to see that this time they served a great meatball as I had been used to. It wasn’t over cooked and hard. It was delicious.
I am hoping that my bad dining experience was the exception to the rule and that the kitchen help that night were having a very bad time.
Great time, great food, and our waitress was lovely!
Terrible service waited 2 1/2 hours from time we sat down till bill was paid! Very disappointed! 3 people $250 not worth it!
This is our 3rd New Year’s Eve celebrating at Tuscan. Although we enjoyed our time and food the service was not what we are accustomed to. It took 20 mins to be seated for a 7 PM reservation, we weren’t offered water or bread for another 15 minutes, my entree arrived cold and I had to flag down the waiter after 20 mins to tell him. This meant my partner was totally done eating when I finally got mine back to start. We waited another 10 before anyone offered us any additional water or another beverage. Overall they were overwhelmed and didn’t have enough staff on. We are dissapointed as the service is usually top notch. Waiter was apologetic. In addition we noticed no coat room which was new and they didn’t have Valet and it was pouring. I expected more because they usually present better. Unsure we will return go forward.
Our service was really poor. The waitress seemed annoyed to be waiting on us and I also heard her snap at a nearby table of diners. The food was average. I like it there because they have GF pastas but the rest of my family, who aren't GF, we're not impressed with their food.
Overall, good experience dining here on New Year's Eve. Had some issues with the bread tasting very burnt (both the bread basket and the bruschetta we ordered). The waitress brought us new bread for both, and the second batch tasted much better. My main course (chestnut agnolotti) was very good (but a little pricey for the portion). Dessert (chocolate cake with almond gelato and toasted almonds) was excellent. Would come back just for the gelato.
Great New Years Eve dinner.
Food was terrific. Always an enjoyable experience for us.
My family and I went there for New Year's Eve and arrived on time for our 5pm reservation.
Problem #1 arose when we were sat at the wrong table. Up we moved.
Problem #2 after ordering found out the pizza was not ready?
Problem #3 entrees arrived 10 minutes before the side orders
What was good, the server, Courtney, was wonderful and apologetic for all the nonsense.
The food was good albeit expensive. Food with one drink and dessert was $75/person.
We will try this restaurant one more time; as it was uneven at best.
Very disappointing experience with both the service and food. I had heard such great things about it!
Well presented and very tasty dishes. Great wine list!
Night out with another couple, all enjoyed the food, service and drinks. A bit noisy, but not unbearable to talk.
The service was rather slow. Our salad came with hair in it when we let the restaurant know they sent a new one which again had hair in it. We left without eating our meals and they reimbursed us for our drinks. They pulled lettuce off the menu and said they didn’t know where the hair was coming from.
5 of 8 ordered Bolognese pasta and were disappointed with the meal. Served as you would have in Italy, but not how we expected it. Also very expensive for the type of meal. Add a meatball, for 6 bucks. Menu overall was very pricey, and not a lot of options under 30. Did appreciate two size options for pasta. Have had a better experience food wise at Salem location
A visit to Tuscan Kitchen is like a visit to a good friend's home. It's warm and inviting. The staff really cares about your comfort. If you had a good friend who could cook like one of Tuscan's finest chefs and serve a creative menu, this is where that friend could be found.
The kitchen was so understaffed that we waited 1 1/2 hours for our food to be served from the time we ordered. The food was good but by the time we were served we were not hungry.
My husband and I celebrated Christmas Eve at the Tuscan Kitchen. My husband ordered the four course 7 fishes dining option which was a very good value at 65 per guest. He enjoyed each course to the fullest. I had the homemade pasta bolognese, which was delicious and cooked to perfection. They allowed plenty of time between courses. Nothing was rushed. We arrived at 7:15 and left at 9:15. Our waiter was wonderful. Knowledge and friendly. I always enjoy Tuscan Kitchen and was not disappointed. Tuscan Kitchen always delivers great food and service. My only disappointment was when I made the reservation I asked to be seated near the fireplace but unfortunately my requested could not be honored. Regardless of where we sat we had a wonderful time and the perfection celebration.
Friendly staff, seated promptly.
However, dinner served 1.5 hours after order. Kids meals were incorrect.
We went Christmas eve and they appeared understaffed. Waited 1 hr for meal. Wait staff was invisible.
Had much better experiences in past
It was a Gift for a very special young man for Christmas.
Fantastic food and absolutely wonderful knowledge of gluten-free requirements! Fun, friendly staff who really get the “gluten thing”. Really nice atmosphere and a good wine list. Nice classy place for a date or as part of a show. Recommend to everyone and will definitely be back!!
Tasty food, decent price, good service, would go again, but not stellar.
Hostess at the front door was awful - Extremely difficult to say anything nice about this place. We were extremely disappointed. Service and staff was AWFUL... There was somewhat of an apology to us, but we could easily see it was not sincere. Food was mediocre... you can find better elsewhere. SAVE your money and go somewhere else!
