If you’re an adventurous eater, then highly recommend telling the server your food budget as well as likes and dislikes. They bring a wonderful array of dishes, from starter to multiple tastings, to dessert. They do not serve traditional alcohol (i.e. vodka, gin, etc) but have a great selection of wine and sake. Loved this place and dining experience.

Incredible as always. Sat at the sushi bar, unfortunately the sushi chef did take a very long time between sending us pieces, so we had to rush at the end to give our seats to the next reservation which feels bad if you’re spending so much on a meal. But anything is worth getting to eat the gyutoro and fried milk.

The food was good. We did Omakase for 4 and I expected the bill to be high. This is not our first time at Uchi and my family and I love the place. However, I did not expect that my $700 LV glasses would be stolen by Valet from the glasses compartment of my car. I even tipped them $10 while I noticed the couple before me gave them no tip at all. I didn’t realize the glasses were gone until the following day since our reservation was at 10pm. I would expect that at a place like Uchi they would hire a trustworthy company or people to service their valet. This went from a $1300 dinner to a $2000 bad experience.

Coming to Dallas from Austin, the name Uchi is synonymous with a great sushi dining experience. I booked the reservation well in advance for my wife’s birthday dinner. Our server was amazing, so knowledgeable about the menu, so much so that we let him make our selections. They were all good, and we were not disappointed. But, after all the hype about the Uchi experience, it was ok. What was odd was no reference to my wife’s birthday, after making sure it was noted in the reservation. I wasn’t expecting a “Poncho’s Sing Along” but at a minimum some small dessert offering.

I have been going to Uchi a lot over the past 5 years and this was by far one of the worst experiences I have had. The food did not taste good / wasn’t fresh and the service was terrible. I felt rushed during the hour and a half I dined with Uchi which should be the bare minimum they allow you to sit at your table. It was my birthday and I did not have a good time at all. In fact, I felt like the waiter was actively trying to make us leave even though there were no tables lined up waiting when we left the restaurant. I will never be going to uchi especially this location ever again.

Waitress seemed mad when we arrived and didn’t even have her makeup done. Then, asked about the champagne they used to have and waitress didn’t know anything about the champagne offerings on the menu current or past. Then, after spending $700 between the 4 of us we asked to split the bill easily and waitress said no, and proceeded to tell us it was policy. I asked to see the policy but none could be found. After arguing unnecessarily with the waitress the manager arrived with an attitude and said she would make things right and proceeded to hand me a calculator so I could figure out the costs for her and get this, I then had to calculate the tax also because apparently they can’t just split the bill but if they do split the bill you as the customer have to then calculate the tax for them!! We have to split the bill because of business reasons and tax reasons. Finally after all that she then proceeded to charge all of the tax to one of us and still messed it all up. We used to go here regularly but after this experience we will NOT!! Try pearl sushi or Namo instead for honestly better sushi but especially MUCH better customer service experience !!

My wife and I enjoyed our third wedding anniversary, as we do every year at Uchi, and it was outstanding, per usual. The music selection was fun, with the volume set at the ideal level. Megan did a great job with service and temperament. Our favorite dish was either the lobster or Tako. We appreciate the thought and care that goes into every dish, as we also share the same feeling for the FOH staff. They explained the food professionally and concisely. We will definitely return.

The food was great but if you look up the price for the omakase price it says around $100 per person. Not the case. I saved up for this. Was actually about 300 each. Very misleading. It was very good but I have been to restaurants that are #1 in the world and it was not that much. Not that worth it. Be aware

One of the restaurants I make sure to always go to when in Dallas. Their Somakase option is amazing. They really cater to your requests and it relieves the choice of choosing. This past time we went one of us requested the items we get makes us feel full at the end and every single item was high in quality and flavor. Some of my favorites from the night was the karagge, the salmon topped with strawberries, the cooked scallop dish, and the fried milk. 10/10 will always recommend this place!

I have celiac disease and they were behind accommodating, better than any Japanese or sushi restaurant I’ve ever been to in the world. The quality of the sushi was as good as it is in Japan and the service and vibe were excellent.

We did the chef's tasting and also added additional items. Several delays and missed dishes but the staff were great since they comp-ed several drinks and additional items. It didn't ruin the meal or experience since we understand they were understaffed. Would still highly recommend Uchi.

Our waitress, Rachel, went above and beyond to make our anniversary special. We gave her our budget and she chose our courses for the evening after asking several questions about our likes and dislikes. What followed caused my husband to admit, “that was the best bite of sushi I’ve ever had,” and, “that was the most incredible bite of beef I’ve ever had.” I had to agree. Everything we had was absolutely delicious, some of it was mind blowing. Service was very slow. I think it took about 45 minutes to even get drinks on the table and food going. we had to ask people walking by multiple times for our server to even come so we could order dessert. Last round of drinks never even came out.

We go to Uchi for a guaranteed wonderful experience every time. We like the Dallas location best. The service is always excellent. We love how the whole team works together to keep your table clean and your food delivered. We hadn’t been for happy hour until this visit and we had fun trying the special menu items on the happy hour menu. The items are very well priced, so we were pleased when we were presented a bill that was around 30% less than we are used to paying. We will be back again, without a doubt.
