Went to Ko An for Triangle restaurant week. We really liked their selections on the fixed price menu. I appreciated that the mixed drinks could be made without alcohol. From the restaurant week menu, we ordered the root vegetable salad and the dragon roll for our first course. For our second course, we ordered the black tea chicken entrée and the miso udon noodles (spicy!). For our third course, there were two dessert choices, and we sampled both. We enjoyed all of our food choices. They were delicious. Our server was very efficient. The food came quickly and the presentation was beautiful. Looking forward to a return visit.

I tried some thing I had never eaten there before, and it was outstanding. I have my favorites that I usually get over and over, but this was a big treat. This is always our go-to for out of town guests, and it impresses every time. So naturally, we came here for our own personal private celebration, and it was quite special. Highly, highly recommended.

Excellent food. We are big Sullivan’s fans. Unfortunately, the waiter strongly recommended the Wagyu 18 oz bone in steak. It just wasn’t very good. Great taste but very fatty and greasy for a $69 steak. I had the strip MR and it was perfect.

We were there for a noon brunch on New Year’s Day so practically had the place to ourselves which may account for low noise level. My only negative was when we ordered the Bloody Mary, we were not informed there was a special Brunch Bloody Mary called the Hail Mary. Would have ordered that if told, but I suspect the server was new, and I can read a menu so …..ultimately ….my bad.

It was an expensive meal for two - not gonna lie. But, I knew what I was getting into, and we ordered extravagantly. We were celebrating a special occasion, I had not eaten anything all day, and the evening was a gift to my partner. The food (everything we ordered, both appetizers, our salads, our steaks and sides, the dessert, the wine and the dessert coffees) was excellent. The ambience was pleasant, and the music playing in the background was catchy. We liked it! Our server was personable and attentive. The only thing that prevents me from giving service five stars is that she may have forgotten about my glass of wine because I had to ask for it came a little late in the meal, but she also bumped me up from a house Merlot to a nicer Merlot at the same price. She managed to be attentive without being intrusive, and make conversation without sounding like she was forcing it. I’d consider this a special occasion meal. I would definitely go there again, even if I wasn’t quite as extravagant in the ordering.

PJ our waiter was fantastic! He was hands down one of the best waiters I have ever had at any restaurant. He came by just the right amount of times and made an adorable sign for our anniversary! He also gave us a card for our anniversary with a drawing of my husband and I! He said art was his hobby. Amazing man and a great experience. We will be back! On top of that everything the food was amazing. Everything we ate was incredible - so hats off to the hard working chefs who made our four course meal come to life!

Udon soup is typically a clear broth. This broth had so much soy and was so salty it was more like eating soy sauce soup. Horrible. The tempura used a beer-batter coating instead of classic panko. Also completely awful and the shrimp as frozen packaged stuff. Not tasty and coating also too salty and I love salt. The octopus salad is amazing and very consistent. The rolls are very good and so is the nigiri. We will be back but we'll have to be snipers with the menu.

We had a reservation for New Year's Day brunch. It was great! There were a few service details missing, slow water refills and slow coffee condiments, but those were minor. Our food was delicious. We had the baked eggs, brunch fried chicken, side of fruit, and side of bacon. These were at a great price point for the amount and quality of the food. We'll definitely come back!
