Viaggio Ristorante and Lounge
An authentic Italian dining experience in the heart of Chicago's lively West Loop neighborhood
We offer an elegant and charming dining experience that keeps guests coming back again and again. Our large menu of regional Italian pastas, meats and fishes is rounded out by a selection of salads, soups, and decadent desserts. Popular staples like Rigatoni with Braised Pork Gravy and Eggplant Parmesan are served alongside Executive Chef Nicolas Biscaglio’s signature interpretations of classic Italian dishes. We use only the highest quality ingredients to ensure a deliciously memorable experience!
As a hospitality-driven establishment, it’s our goal to make every guest that walks through the door feel like family. At Viaggio, we invite you to sit back, relax and enjoy!
Eating with my friends is a great time no matter where we are. But when we find a place with Great food and waitresses who are friendly and have the ability to banter with us, it always makes for a better dining experience. Plus they have luxardo (spell check) cherry’s.
Food was great and the service was awesome
We love this place! My husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant when we were with my son and his soccer team at another nearby bar. We are so glad we did. We loved everything from the warm bread, olive oil and roasted peppers they serve when you sit down, to the Pasta Fagioli, Cavatelli, Rigatoni with Sunday Pork gravy, Lasagna and meatballs. And the desserts! We got the Chocolate Kailua cake(ask for a scoop of ice cream to go with it)—My goodness! A chocolate lover’s delight! The wine list is reasonable too. We had more food than we could eat, so we enjoyed a second dinner the next night. My only complaint is that the Pasta Fagioli is not a permanent part of the menu as it is delicious.
Amazing food, service, one of our favorite city restaurants.
Always tasty. Can get loud and crowded when there's an event at the United Center, but it's still an enjoyable experience. Pasta is delicious -- wish the portions were a tad larger, but the food is great. Staff are friendly and accommodating.
Ate before a Hawks game. Loud and packed in, but they delivered great dinner again!
My fiance & I dined at Viaggio before a Blackhawks game because we didn't want the usual fried bar food. We were very happy with our choice. I tried the Chilean sea bass special & my partner tried the braised pork in tomato gravy...both were delicious! We were there early, service was good. Once restaurant became busy it was quite loud but most customers appeared to be going to game so had the pre-game excitement rolling!
Old school Chicago! fantastic place with great staff, great bar and menu that is fantastic.
Awesome before any event at the United Center or for just an evening out. My wife and I love this place and my clients even more!
Thanks Viaggio for being great!!
Outstanding restaurant, Dave and his team are very welcoming and do a great job.
Julie was gr8
As always - everything was great! One of my favorite “go-to” places in West Loop. Food is consistently cooked to perfection & the service is always excellent.
My top favorite restaurant!
Our meal was great. Viaggio is one of our favorite restaurants and this time was as good as ever. The seafood pasta was light and enough for two people. Noise level was low and the service was excellent.
Went New Years Eve. It was crowed with a wide mix of people of different ages as well as some family groups. We were quickly seated and our server and staff were fast, friendly and attentive. Our food was very good and the portions so large we both took some home for another meal! Definitely going back!
Excellent in all aspects
We had a party of 6 for dinner. The shared appetizers of 1) sausages, pepper and onions; 2) sautéed calamari and 3) bruschetta came out promptly and were in sufficient quantity that everyone could have a bit or two. The main courses ranged from Fettuccini Alfredo to Veal were very tasty and of sufficient size that left-overs were taken home by all. The desserts were what you would expect at an Italian restaurant and were very good. The tables can be close together but that makes the place have a positive vibe.
Amazing! Food was great and the atmosphere is always the best!
Viaggio never fails to exceed expectations on the quality of its food and service. No where better to fuel up prior to a Blackhawks game!!
Love..Love..Viaggio - for any occasion, especially before the Blackhawks game, or Concerts st the UC
Food and service is Fantastic. Everyone is friendly, and helpfull. Can't wait to go back.
This place has slowly become my favorite Italian restaurant in Chicago. They have some dishes that are just phenomenal. Shrimp Dakota(appetizer) and the Brick Chicken(can easily split between 2 people) are must orders, imo. Freshly made Cavatelli is also superb. Service is always on point.
The service is great and food is delicious, all the menu have great selections that make you to want to order all of it .
We celebrated my daughter's college graduation at Viaggios. We arrived 30 minutes early but they gladly took us to our table. The service was fabulous and so was the food. I will definitely think of them for future events.
Noisy Hawks fans did not deter - we were 2 of them. Our waiter managed to negotiate the crowd and take good care of us.
Excellent service combined with really good food and wine. I would recommend for any occasion.
First time there. Great service, lively atmosphere, good Italian food and walking distance to United Center. Thoroughly enjoyed.
Great place to go before a Black Hawks game. Made reservations on open table and they got us in and out in time for puck drop.
Great food and service
All time favorite Italian restaurant. Lemoncello martini and spaghetti and meatballs wow
Great service and food. It was quite cold inside the restaurant
a suggestion... put more lights/better lights in the women's bathroom, along with toilet paper.
Our go-to place for Italian! Love everything about Viaggio!
Had a fantastic experience as usual. The service was great. The food was phenomenal. It was a little loud but not over the top. Already looking forward to my next visit.
Seems like a popular place with a lot of traffic. The food was good and felt authentic. Service was good too. I would go back.
Decent food but far too noisy. Could not hear anyone at our small table of three
The food and service were, as expected, excellent. Fun place, great food, and a note to all: enjoy the peppers and bread that are placed at your table upon arrival. Be sure to enjoy a glass of wine with the peppers and bread. Go enjoy and have a really fun evening!!!
Everything was great!
Great restaurant in every way! The Meatball Salad is the best ever as is the Brick Chicken. Service is very solid and friendly
Great spot and super service
Always amazing food and service.
Top notch as always! Went with the usual...brick chicken and Sunday pork gravy...outstanding!!
