My steak sandwich was flarorful but very tough. Service WAS EXCELLENT
Sam and her trainee Bradley took good care of me!
Friendly and efficient service. Food was ok
I was there the night before and my server seemed to be a little more organized, my server on Sat evening appeared to be more distracted. Overall it’s a nice restaurant and I will come back again.
We had a fairly large party with us for lunch after our daughter’s high school graduation. The service was outstanding. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was quiet but life filled. We couldn’t have had a better experience!
This is one of our favorite places to dine in Columbia. Pre-Covid, we frequently came here for brunch. This visit was our first since Covid and we were a bit disappointed with the food. Many of the brunch items we used to get are now not on the menu. We tried 3 new items, strawberry lemon waffles, breakfast egg rolls and chicken with cheddar biscuit. While the chicken biscuit was a bit dry the overall dish was good. The egg rolls we nice and crispy on the outside and had good flavor but we felt the serving was small. The strawberry lemon waffles were horrible, probably the worst I’ve ever had. They were cold, dry and tasteless.
So, it was a rainy Friday evening and business was slow. I was greeted and given a drink and food menu. After that, with only 3 customers at the bar and two high tops, the service was poor. I made eye contact with the female bartender who I've had before and her service is very poor. She walks back and forth without making eye contact and customers have to raise their hand to get her to come over. She’s not very personable for a bartender. With things changing and people are starting to come out more, restaurant employees need to be service oriented.
It has been awhile since we were at Victoria's and it has not changed. This was a special occasion for us, looking forward to the fish and chips. Our waiter left a lot to be desired as we had to prompt him for reasonable service. Drinks, waiting to long. Ordering was OK, asked for salad with meal, he left off fries thing we did not want since we ordered salad. Stated they would just take a few minutes. When they finally arrived they were cool as if sitting for some time. Unacceptable. Waitress corrected immediately. Overall, an experience that was not pleasant.
This is my third time eating at Victoria Gastro pub. It is amazing always. The most recent visit was lunch with my sis. She had the seafood melt and I had the steak sandwich. We shared the bang bang cauliflower and the corn elote. All of the dishes were amazing!
There was no parking for myself or the guest I had coming, so we went elsewhere. The staff was friendly and helpful. I left and never ordered food, so I didn’t taste any food because I left. But they wouldn’t let me get to this page without leaving a mark. I thanked the Hostess for seating us, explained what happened and left. Other than that it was just too noisy. I want to talk to my guest, not yell at them. My recommendation wouldn’t be recommended for the evenings. It’s just too noisy for me.
We were a bit uncomfortable with the spacing while a pandemic is still going on. It seemed they placed everyone in one small section of the dining room while entire rooms were empty. The food was still good, though.
We were a party of five on a Tuesday night- the seafood sandwich was mostly just a seafood mayonnaise spread- sent that back- the fish and chips were mostly batter- the Cobb salad had something on it called bacon which most certainly was not bacon and the was also topped with mustard pretzel pieces like you buy in the snack isle- other than that it was all tomatoes and blue cheese crumbles - honestly the worse Cobb salad I have ever had or seen. For a seemingly upscale restaurant our meal was a disappointment- nothing at all compelling about this place that would draw me back any time soon.
Lunch menu has broad range of options that will please everyone. Service is consistently professional, yet friendly.
Great host and server. The food was fabulous as usual.
So Yummy!!! I've been here before and always want to come back. The lobster grilled cheese is so delicious. The only reason why I gave a 4 star for the ambience was because it was a little warm inside which may have been because our table was near the door that went out to patio area which kept being opened as people went in and out. Don't hesitate. Go to Victoria Gastro Pub!
The menu is smaller and less interesting than pre-Covid and the food seemed not as good, heavier and more bland. Hope as people dine in more, they will increase the options and quality.
Meeting family from out of town. We all enjoyed our entrees and beverages. Great neighborhood find!
We celebrated my son's high school graduation with family and we all enjoyed the evening very much. Service and food were top notch!
Miss the old menu
Very pleasant experience. Excellent wait staff. Good food and good portions.
Always love eating here!
Our server was very nice, she was serving the patio on Monday at 5pm, can't remember her name. Even though she was busy, she took very good care of us, and she was very warm and hospitable. All of our drinks and food ordered were very good, and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. We were celebrating a birthday and the strawberry cake was the perfect dessert! I was the only one who had been here before and everyone in our party commented on what a gem Victoria's is, and are definitely looking forward to the next time they can come out to Columbia from the city.
Food was good, service was outstanding-
Great interesting fresh food
Love. Brussels sprouts and burgers
Nothing has changed with Victoria's - back to their excellent menu after the pandemic. Good to see staple favorites still on the menu. Lunching on the outdoor patio is always lovely.
A group of 4 sat outside for lunch. Food was great, service and time the food arrived was very timely.
We had a brunch date here for the first time in so long. They have modified the menu because of pandemic with amazing choices.
The fried chicken & cheddar biscuit was phenomenal. & the Brussels sprouts superior. I had a Kentucky Crush that was out of this world.
Wonderful food, great adult beverage selection, great service, and nice ambience. Highly recommend!
Appetizers were great, especially the poutine. The Korean shrimp was disappointing and a little bit “fishy.” The wagyu burger was just ok, mostly undermined by being cooked beyond what was requested, but also kind of dense. It came across as a very standard restaurant burger.
Food was delicious and the service was great.
The staff and service were outstanding
Great good and service. Will be back.
We dined out for Mother’s Day, and from the moment we walked in we were very impressed with the seating arrangements especially during this social distancing phase. We felt very safe and felt like we were completely isolated with the roomy closed in private booth. Mark was our waiter and was very attentive to our every need. The food was very tasty especially the bang bang cauliflower... I loved the fact that the menu was simple yet amazing options that catered to my plant based diet. We will definitely be visiting this restaurant in the future.
We were there for Mother’s Day. Very nice first time experience. Food was great, presentation was wonderful, and the service was amazing. We are definitely looking forward to going back!
We’ve frequented Victoria’s for birthdays, anniversaries, mother’s days, and so on. The menu is simple, yet still many choices. My favorite is their poutine and our daughter loves their fish and chips. My husband has also ordered their beer flights in the past. Their Bloody Mary and brunch options were delicious. The servers are always pleasant, as is the food.
Onion rings could've been better. Burger was excellent.
Great place to go for Mother's Day brunch. Food was great, everything was great.
A bit overpriced ($17 for a plain burger and fries, $12 for a basic Caesar salad, etc.) but food and service were both very good.
Amazing brunch - first time eating indoors with friends, celebrating Mother's Day! The best crab and avocado omelet, and tasty bloody Mary's for everyone. The bar and kitchen did an amazing job! Victoria's never disappoints.
