Service was great and the view from the lounge was amazing.
Steak tacos, shrimp tacos, rock shrimp, Greek salad, steak and lobster pasta is a must! Service is very good as well and views are amazing
Cozy, Romantic, Chic and elegant penthouse! Great food and wines, service is just perfect! We will return soon - Thank you for being in LIC so we don't have to drive over the bridge.
Greek salad, Shrimp tacos, Steak tacos, Lobster Mac and cheese, Seafood pasta, organic 1/2 chicken was our menu items and all were just perfect! We had a nice Russian river Cabernet Sauvignon and we enjoyed the service as well! We can't wait to return back to this penthouse gem
I was looking forward to eating at the vista sky lounge with my husband not a huge deal but because of it we couldn’t see the city outside the igloo. That was the main reason for choosing the sky lounge for dinner - to enjoy the view of the city or atleast the experience of the lights & ambience inside the igloo. There were cords all over the ground that went to the lights which weren’t even being used & we had nothing except one lit tree & one fake candle for lighting. We had enough lighting to see but I wouldn’t exactly call it an “experience”. Two appetizers & a bottle of champagne would cost less than $200 at that restaurant & if we had just sat inside we’d have a better view of the city. It was quieter in the igloo than in the restaurant but still not worth what we paid for. We asked to order entrees too which took forever to arrive & when they came, it was all over-cooked. My husband’s “rare” steak was well-done & my cast iron chicken was nothing to write home about either. Lacking in flavor & originality. $400 later & dissatisfied.
Really nice place. The view, the food, everything was good.
All I can say is the service was truly amazing. Our server Rizza did not miss a beat. She paid attention to everything my wife and I needed and more. It was my wife’s birthday and she made it even more special. Thank You Vista Sky Lounge.
Perfect to have a great dinner at penthouse with the city and whole skyline view. The food is Greek and great accompanied by attentive warm service and great ambiance. We are always going there and having great time
Everything was wonderful, the food, the cocktails, the service and ambiance as well, we are so happy to found this gem restaurant.
Rock shrimp, Greek salad, smoked meatballs, saganaki cheese, wild mushroom and truffle Orzotto, lobster pasta, cast iron organic chicken and The tagliate steak were the menu items that we tried and all were superb!
Food wasn’t flavorful at all. When I told my waitress that I wasn’t happy with my order I told her I will gladly pay for the order anyway ,to but if I was able to just trade my order for a mac and cheese but they would only give me a side of spinach in replace of my original order wich valued ate $28 dollars and the Spinach was valued ate $6. Other then that the drinks was good but I’ll never return for food .
My husband is a cook and we celebrate Valentine’s Day after the 14th. I saw vista lounge on Instagram and it looked amazing. We got there and the place was empty. We were seated and waited like 10 minutes to be asked if we wanted a drink. Finally our drinks arrived and my husband took a sip of the Cabernet he order and asked me to taste it I took a sip and it was horrible definitely a cheap wine. I had order a cognac colada it was super sweet and low of alcohol for the price. I asked the waitress if my husband could change his wine for a beer and she said no because you already had half, which was clearly not the case, he did not drink it and he did not order anymore drinks. He order the fig salad and I order the rock shrimp. The salad had pieces that had expired already and I don’t mean 2 or 3 he gathered a bunch of them, he also was looking for the figs and the fig salad had no figs. The rock shrimp had good flavor. For our Mains he had the Scottish salmon, which was very dry and no flavor. I had the NY strip steak with truffle fries the steak had no flavor and I did not like my the truffle fries. The decor is very simple lots of plastic and Christmas lights, the tables are also plastic and even the cups are plastic. The view is amazing too bad it was too cold dine outside. We will not come back again it’s just not worth it.
I 'be be coming here for the past years because of the amazing views, latterly I have been seeing a few changes at vista and I am very happy and excited about it... the Food became soooo good and so fresh, and includes amazingly Greek dishes as well new craft cocktails. I dine after the Valentine's Day because I wanted to give my wife a special treat as their menu choices were superb. Litlle bit pricey but as we all know in life, you get what tou pay for, we had an awesome time and we will return to try more dishes and cocktails. The ambiance lately became very sophisticated and I have to say the flair is intellectual and chic, no need to run in to the city anymore !
Food took about an hour and others who were seated at the same time or before us were served before us. Food did not come out very warm. No explanation was given to the long wait time. Even our drinks and appetizer were delayed
Took over a hour to finally to eat after 2 glasses of wine
Great experience. Awesome staff
I recommend going during sunset the view is beautiful.
If you are in a budget this may not be for you. If you want good food over good view this may not be for you. If you want a nice view and air this will do it. Sundown will do the trick.
The food wasn’t good, very cheap food, it taste like microwaved/oven baked frozen food. I also found a hair in my food. But the service was impeccable, and the ambiance was amazing with the city views. I suggest going there for drinks and the ambiance.
FIRE SERVER BOLIVAR AND LOOK FOR A NEW GM! In my 40+ yrs of dining, I’ve never experienced such disrespectful treatment in a restaurant. The server, BOLIVAR was beyond rude! Didn’t bring water as requested until the 3rd time and didn’t even check on us. After his snobby rude service and an 90 mins of over priced watered down drinks in plastic cups, we asked for the GM.
He pretended like he had no clue! He has allowed his staff to treat customers like this for far too long.
He should be fired as well. NEGATIVE STARS! Close this over priced establishment down! BOLIVAR should be banned as a server for life - he’s truly special TRASH TRASH TRASH!!
The view isn’t attainable from every part of the restaurant. It was really small. Not beautiful but basic. We waited over 45 minutes for our appetizers.
it was nice , the only thing was that I ask for lobster cracker and was told they don't have one. so it was hard to crack the claw of the lobster for my date. To me that was unacceptable for a restaurant like yours. My last two visit was awesome thank you.
Food display for the cost of a prefix was beyond poor. No bathrooms on the level were the Sky Bar actually is held, you have to go to the basement. I usually don’t add reviews but when you spend $300 plus on a dinner and it’s not busy and the food is not hot ,being transported from the ground floor Ok the elevator with people on it , and it turns out it’s the same food you can charge to your room. The pictures and website do not even come close to what the place looks like . My friend that I recommended to go the same night had even worse service and left after spending money on drinks, walked out. Would never go here again even if I was given something free. Quality is priceless, re-evaluate Your staff , cooks and be mindful of the heath department.
The service was terrible. We waited 10 min for the server to come to our table, we were never given a drink menu we ordered our food and drinks at the same time. I ordered my food first and then my boyfriend ordered his and the server never put my order in and when I asked her she said that all was said was my boyfriends order so she tried to blame us and not the fact that she got it wrong. I waited 45 min to get my food. I had ordered another drink and it’s took about 15 min to get also. The food was good but she wasn’t very attentive to us at all which was frustrating. We traveled almost an hour just to wait forever for food and drinks. There was a birthday celebration there so it was definitely loud there was no social distancing at all the place is too small to social distance. The view was breath taking and the food was good but the service made the experience terrible. Will not go there again.
Vista Sky Lounge exceeded our expectations! The food was outstanding and the customer service was amazing. The hospitality of the staff and management were awesome and we will definitely be back!
Beautiful place food amazing and great staff and the drinks taste amazing
This place is beautiful and amazing can't wait to revisit.
Fresh food, warm service and spectacular views in this amazing penthouse restaurant - recommended ! PS: make sure you make a reservation
Amazing views!!! Great service , thank you vista Sky lounge I will be back!
On January 24, 2021, my friend and I visited Vista Sky Lounge for the first time. I found this establishment after a quick google search for restaurants with outdoor seating with heat and chose to book an evening reservation based upon the view and 4-star google review. At best, Vista was a 1.5-star.
Upon arrival, we checked in at the host stand and were walked to a two-seater table but this area was pretty full (considering the pandemic) and not quite what I expected (ie: physically outdoor). I mentioned to the man that I thought the table would be outdoors to which he suggested the available igloo. The gentleman (who I now know to be a manager) stated that the igloo costs $100 dollars, we agreed, and were escorted to the igloo. Our waitress was thoroughly attentive and checked on us frequently. The waitress stated that we needed to purchase either a bottle of wine and at least an appetizer a piece as a condition of the igloo. We ordered a bottle of Malbec, 2green teas, bottle of Acqua Panna, mussels & a Greek salad. As we waited, we quickly noticed that the space heater was not sufficiently warming the igloo. Tea arrived&there was lipstick on the mug,the mussels were raw w/no broth and the space heater barely warmed the space.
Dinner concluded & the bill arrived and was a whopping $290 *insert astonishing gasp*. Our waitress stated that the price was $200 bc it was 2 of us patronizing the space. We requested to speak with a manager and the gentleman who seated us arrived a few minutes later. He stated that he told us before seating us that it was per person which never happened. If either of us would have been told it would cost $200 to be sat in a cold igloo in 25 degrees we definitely wouldn’t have chosen that option. The manager vehemently stated that he was clear about this price and I believe it was intentionally left out. As an "olive branch" the manager agreed to “comp” the tea and water (insulting). We paid the egregiously expensive bill and departed.
We choose the Igloo option and it was superb ! Our food choices was Greek salad, saganaki cheese, ouzo mussels, rock shrimp, lobster pasta and cast iron organic chicken... all menu items were very fresh and so tasty ! Service was up to the point and ambiance very interested. We will return soon
Food took a little long but overall it was great.
