The focaccia was the best I've ever had! Great menu with excellent options for appetizers, salads, pastas, pizzas, mains and desserts. Excellent wine list as well. Rustic-chic with great ambiance. Will definitely be back!
Best kept secret in Dallas.
Relaxing atmosphere and a local feel combined with fantastic food. All the dishes taste so fresh because it’s all made to order. We especially love the fish in salt baked in their wood burning oven!!!
My wife and I made reservations through Open Table and visited Zoo Cecio for the first time. We had a lovely bottle of wine along with clams and mussels. The sauce is super light and not overly buttery. My entree was the pasta with wild boar and ragu sauce. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DISH. My wife had the carbanarra and was not impressed. We actually sent it back. We will definitely return. The location is great and the service is impeccable.
Excellent selection and wine pairing with Chef Francesco!
This was my 4th visit to Zio Cecio and for my 33rd birthday. The Italian Manhatten was perfect as always and the food was amazing as well. They have never let us down. The staff was great and the owner made me and my family feel like family. Zio Cecio is very cozy and intimate yet lively and fun. I can’t wait to go back!
Menu was different than what was online - we would not have come to the restaurant if we had known that (two of the people wanted a specific dish and it was their birthdays)
We asked for a specific table, but were told that it was reserved - it remained empty the entire two hours we were there
A whole table of noisy children were seated directly next to us
Food and service were good
The service was terrible and the food was ok at best. It told 40 min before they even took our order. Not a good experience. Won’t go back
Great food and service! Wonderful restaurant!
Great as always
Never a bad meal at Zio. Always good pasta and pizza. Nice wine list.
Squid ink infused pasta with clams was delicious, and I will come back here just to have that dish! Service was spotty and there was no selection for wine by the glass, only generic no-name if you don’t purchase a bottle
My husband and I had a fabulous time at Zio Cecio the day before valentines day. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. Very willing to help us find the dish that best fit our wants for that night. We both were impressed with the pasta dishes that we chose and ate every last bite!
We got a chance to meet the chef and owner, Francesco, and he was awesome! We were on our way out and thanked him for the great meal and experience. He invited us back in for a glass of wine and great conversation. We were extremely impressed by how well we were treated. We will definitely be coming back and recommending this restaurant to our friends and family.
Authentic in all respects.
Real Italian food, great service, fantastic wine. I highly recommend this place
greatest neighborhood Italian restaurant in town. Franchesco is an amazing chef. we always bring our out of town guests here! many gluten free options (I have Celiac), warm and inviting staff and great parking.
The food was excellent, but the service was odd. We assumed a waiter or two did not show up, and they were short-handed, they never explained why they were running behind. The Maitre de was our waiter and our busboy. Although we had reservations, there was no one at the door to greet or seat us. It then took forever for them to take our wine order. We had finished the focaccia before they even asked about wine, and then it took quite a while to get the wine to the table. The Maitre d treated us to dessert for the inconvenience but did not ask us what we wanted or if we wanted coffee or more drinks. We felt it was an odd experience overall as we were there celebrating a special occasion and did not enjoy waiting so long for our drinks. We most likely would have ordered another bottle of wine or port if only we had been asked.
Great service and authentic Italian food with a Sardinian touch.
The appetizer of octopus was good. The salad was also good. The salmon was average and the risotto special was bland
Francesco is a great chef! This is our perfect dinner restaurant!!!
Lovely as usual. My veal was perfect.
Excellent neighborhood Italian restaurant where you will be treated like family and treated to authentic Sardinian fare at the hand of an excellent chef-owner.
You feel like part of the family when you’re dining here, the food is exquisite and the service can’t be beat!
With a reservation, we were seated 30 minutes late. We were told it was because the kitchen needed to catch up. Yet, before our entrees arrived, the chef was sitting at a table having wine. The best part, the server put in the wrong order and then tried to rush a piece of salmon - it was horrible. The teardrop pasta and ragu dish was also a bland and lifeless option. The appetizers were shoved across the table and yanked away the second we were rushed with the entrees. This was our first experience and definitely our last. It felt cheap and heartless.
Great food. Great service. Always a favorite
Rude, Rude, Rude customer service! Took over 10 minutes to be acknowledge upon walking in. Then he sits us at a table crammed next to a wall. Very noisy environment. We walked out! Didn’t stay to have a terrible experience.
Fabulous food, great service. A very nice ding experience.
Very loud with mediocre service. Food was good but not good enough to put up with the noise and waiting for the waiters. We sat for over 5 minutes waiting to give a drink order.
Thank you for a wonderful dinner. We really appreciate you helping us accommodate 4 extra people on top of our ten!! Food and our waiter were perfect. Happy Holidays
The owner and staff go out of their way to make sure that you and your guest have an outstanding dining experience.
Such a great place with great food!!!!
Amazing service and food. Highly recommend!
Good fabulous as it was years ago - Francesco runs a great restaurant - service was good but waiter lacked a little personality!
We really enjoyed our dinner. The food was very good and the service was outstanding. Great place for a special event!
Great restaurant! Nice place to enjoy a good meal with friends. Authentic food and a great gem.
We have been there many times and the food and service are always excellent. We had the whole fish encrusted in salt and the lamb chops. Both good choices.
We had not been in awhile. We sat in the closed in patio which was very quiet. They had a large wine tasting party in the main dining area. Food was great!
Food was great, liked Ciopino, calamari appetizer was excellent. Pasta special was great. The wine list could use additions of less expensive choices for those who are not connoisseurs and are happy with a bottle under $30.
It would be nice if they had a few more moderately priced wines.
The cioppino was outstanding. Lots of fish and the broth was very flavorful.
