Excellent service. Very personable service from receptionist and from restaurant Nafiza who was efficient and friendly. Food was superb, fresh and cooked beautifully. The restaurant and bar and other facilities are superb. However the reason for 3 stars for ambience is the restaurant lighting was too bright and there should be some background music. The conversation of others was very audible. Low level music does help mask conversations and more so forces people to talk quieter. The lighting didn’t help as it was on full brightness level so it’s wasn't relaxed and other guests thought they were at home and were talking very loud. I hope this can be remedied as this is very minor suggestion but will transform the restaurant. We will definitely be coming back.

Very nice food. The fish stew was a bit salty but still good. The steak was perfect from the daily special. The bead with black garlic was amazing!

We went for an anniversary meal and we’re not disappointed. The whole experience was just lovely. Excellent food and great service. The card signed by all the staff was a nice touch. We cannot find fault with anything at all. We will definitely go back!

Booked a table of six for Sunday lunch. A lovely meal and good portion sizes. Staff were attentive and professional. I have a wheelchair and found it very accessible and accommodating for my needs. Will be back.

Delicious food selected from a varied seasonal menu ( I had Caesar salad and my husband had the cheese and bacon tart) served by friendly efficient staff. The icing on the cake being the wonderful views from the glasshouse itself which was comfortable even in the heatwave and beautifully furnished.

We tend to frequent The Tempest for birthdays. It is a special place and we've always had a lovely evening. The food is always exceptional and well plated. The menu needs to be updated as there are several things featured on the drinks and food menus that are no longer offered, so it's a little awkward when you've chosen something you can no longer get. Really beautiful buildings, and the adjacent pub is very nice. Highly recommend!
