Best Afternoon Tea Restaurants in New Mills

Used to come here regularly as food and service were bar far the best anywhere in Manchester and further a field. Had been for 18/24 months as the last couple of times we went, most of the regular staff had left and some unacceptable mistakes and cost cutting exercises seemed to have crept in. On Saturday 2nd of December, we decided to give it another go. Immediately upon making our way in to the restaurant, we were greeted with the familiar face of Sheridan. An extremely warm and friendly welcome was given and we were immediately made to feel like we hadn't been away. The food throughout the night was exceptional l, only toppled by the attentiveness of the lovely polite staff. The whole night was just amazing and took us back to when The Lowry Restaurant was our only real go to for a quality meal out. We will be going back more regularly now. Great effort by Sheridan and the team.

We had the afternoon tea and the whole experience was delightful. Staff were friendly and attentive, the food was really excellent.

A wonderful experience. Beautiful architecture, attentive staff, and exquisite food. Special mention to the french gentlemen waiter who made us feel very welcome, and provided something is too often overlooked; a genuine friendly smile. Also the two gentlemen staff in reception who engaged with our curiosity in the history of the building.

Had a lovely afternoon tea and champagne. Service was great and food was fancy and tasty. Would definitely go again.
