Lovely setting with delightful service and food. We went in the evening and so could not really see much after a certain time but it was a fantastic experience for my fathers birthday

Consistently great food. My 9 year old said she wants to live there. She said the Mac&cheese and bread are the best she’s ever had. Service is efficient and friendly. Can’t recommend this place enough

Excellent service. Very personable service from receptionist and from restaurant Nafiza who was efficient and friendly. Food was superb, fresh and cooked beautifully. The restaurant and bar and other facilities are superb. However the reason for 3 stars for ambience is the restaurant lighting was too bright and there should be some background music. The conversation of others was very audible. Low level music does help mask conversations and more so forces people to talk quieter. The lighting didn’t help as it was on full brightness level so it’s wasn't relaxed and other guests thought they were at home and were talking very loud. I hope this can be remedied as this is very minor suggestion but will transform the restaurant. We will definitely be coming back.

We tend to frequent The Tempest for birthdays. It is a special place and we've always had a lovely evening. The food is always exceptional and well plated. The menu needs to be updated as there are several things featured on the drinks and food menus that are no longer offered, so it's a little awkward when you've chosen something you can no longer get. Really beautiful buildings, and the adjacent pub is very nice. Highly recommend!

Fabulous venue with views across Cheltenham. Myself and the rest of my friends had the set menu. I had the squid to start, followed by fish and chips. Both superbly cooked and presented. Great value for money. All staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Lovely food in beautiful surroundings. This isn't a cheap afternoon tea but great for a treat and it's lovely to have a well thought out vegan menu. It was a shame the menu was different from the one advertised on the website - we were looking forward to the raspberry and chocolate pebble (the passionfruit cheesecake was amazing but we weren't too keen on the carrot cake) - but the food was still great. It would be good to have a choice of plain or fruit scones. Neither of us like raisins so we had to pick them out! Service was exemplary and the room was lovely - just a little too quiet as we were the only ones in at that time. We would definitely come back.

We have visited a few times now for Sunday lunch. My husband had the fish and chips & I had the roast pork. The meals are of a consistently good quality. It is not too noisy either which we like! Although they were busy the service was good.

We had a fantastic experience at Bistro Du Vin last night. The food was fantastic the ambience was great and we were really well looked after by Bernadette and Andrea. For Andrea’s first ever day she done so well and Bernadette’s knowledge was fantastic she also made us feel at home. We will definitely be coming back soon!☺️
