Best Bistros in Old Town Scottsdale

Six middle age high school friends on our annual girls trip and Pyro was recommended to us by my daughter who lives there. Outstanding everything! The food, drinks and service were fantastic. Can’t wait to come back.

Our first time at The Mercer and we will definitely return! The restaurant is gorgeous. It's a great New York-ish vibe with beautiful appointments. We were greeted immediately by our lovely hostess who showed us to our seats (we chose to dine at the bar, our normal preference). Both bartenders were fabulous, and great servers as well. They were low on Ketel One vodka but made a trip to another area and returned with a nice full bottle, which was greatly appreciated and above normal expectations. We began with two appetizers; mine was a sushi handroll combo (spicy tuna, salmon with avocado and a yellowtail, all perfectly seasoned and fresh. My husband had the pigs in a blanket and they were fresh, hot and yummy. I had the shrimp cocktail with the Caesar salad, both excellent. The dressing was perfect. My husband chose the prime rib, medium rare with a side of fries. His prime rib was cooked to a nice medium rare but could have been served warmer. The fries were perfect. We chose the cheesecake with the Dubai chocolate and enjoyed it. Very rich and creamy. The music was wonderful, and the changing photo montage above the bar was especially cool, showing lots of images of 1970's and 80's New York glamour and personalities. Overall, a solid experience, dining, ambience and service. Thanks so much!

I had a seat at the bar door this visit, previously I sat on the patio. I love this restaurant…great service , comfortable ambience [like dining at a friends house] and the food is top notch. My favorite entree is the grilled sea bass and favorite appetizer is the crab cakes…but everything is expertly prepared.
