My husband and I were craving a good Sunday roast and decided to try The Dorset aftet looking at their menu. We both chose the 3 course prix fixe and I upgraded to the Prime Rib main which was a $20 supplement . Our server Ruben was like an old friend. We had the best conversations and laughs with him. The food and vibe reminded me of a gastropub in London I had many years ago. Every since dish was perfect and tasted divine. It was my birthday so they treated us to bubbly and a mini caterpillar dessert which came on a mini Marshall amp playing Stevie Wonder Happy Birthday. Best Sunday Roast and birthday dinner ever! Amy the manager came over as I wanted to give her our feedback on Ruben's outstanding service. She was also very nice and told us about the artwork in the dining room we asked her about. We will be back for sure!

This was our second trip to GP. Our first was on a Monday so a very different vibe!! But despite the restaurant being full and vibrant, the service and the food and the timing of the courses were impeccable. The wine list is intense for a casual wine-drinker and the sommelier was so helpful and did a fabulous job suggesting the perfect bottle within our price range. Can’t wait to go back.

We were seated in library which was very cozy. The service, food, and drink were excellent. Highly recommend the peanut butter espresso martini!

The food is exceptional (though I miss the samosas on the menu!) and the beef Wellington, potato pave, scotch eggs, arancini and sautéed greens were all outstanding. The sticky toffee pudding is a must and never disappoints! A shout out to one of the most impressive, sweet, well informed, charming and subtly attentive servers Misaki for making it a special evening. She remembered me from previous visits, made us feel welcome, special and instantly put us in a better mood. I would honestly come back just to have see her. She is almost magical in her calm nature and ease of interaction, a standout in the city of Toronto 💗

This was my first time checking out Roxton and I was very impressed! Everything was great - the food was absolutely delicious and high-quality, our server was very friendly and attentive, I love the traditional pub decor and atmosphere. My whole party was really impressed and we'll all be going back! All around a really great place with a relaxed, welcoming vibe.

    Love compton Ave! My husband and I came for the Christmas menu last year and had to come back again for the nightmare before Christmas menu. Delicious cocktails extremely worth the price. The London fog is my go-to but the nightshade was soooo good too with the hint of sesame.
