Greeted by name upon arrival, offered choice of table, served promptly and knowledgeably by friendly and attentive staff who enjoyed chatting about the dishes on offer. Great wine and beer selection. The food was fantastic - fresh, high quality and very fairly priced. Delicious trout paired with fennel and dill, great starter. The lamb was cooked beautifully and the goat curd pairing was out of this world. Loved the decor and ambience, perfect low-lit gastropub atmosphere. Nothing to fault, everything to praise.

It's my second time eating at Winifred's and it did not disappoint. Seasonal, locally sourced food. The seafood - cod skewers and the hake - was delicious! The English red wine (chilled) was delicate and so good, and I love the range of English wines on offer. We shared plates, the excellent chef took into consideration with care about one of our guest's food allergies. The young waitress was super; polite, friendly and full of enthusiasm. Will definitely be back for my 3rd time and more.

Here on holiday nd I went to Moda for a nice wee nigh out with my lovely fiance for a date night nd was just amazing the bartender that was working she was amazing as well nd lovely to talk with deffos be in again when am next down south

Always great food here and we weren’t disappointed this time round. Great portion sizes, extremely tasty and all freshly cooked within view. We had the mackerel pate (a turn favourite) king prawns (6 large prawns as a starter so enough to share) the Diver sole which was divine abd the wild bass which was so filling. Great service and good ambience.
