Service was extraordinary with some great suggestions and lots of attention without being smothering. Highly recommend.More infoVernick Fish$$$$• Seafood• Center City•4.8

Each bite of food was exquisite. 20 out of 10 would recommend SkyHigh. Our meal will live rent free in my head for decades and I cannot wait to return to experience SkyHigh again.More infoSkyHigh$$$$• Cocktail Bar• Center City•4.7
- DDeborahPhiladelphia County •28 reviews5.0Dined on 27 Sept 2026We truly had a lovely evening at Mr. Edison last night. The food was exceptional- we loved the small plates salad, the bucatini, steak tartare, shisedo peppers, the small filet, and the outrageously yummy crab cake and dinner rolls:) We came here with high expectations and were ready to find weaknesses in service, decor or the food, but everything was delightful. Our waiters Glen and Missy were attentive, professional, funny, and a joy to interact with. They made our night fun-proof that the fanciest restaurant in Philly can also be relaxing, joyful, and a great overall experience from A-Z without being pompous. The live jazz was a delightful addition that really was the icing on the cake. The interior design is beyond spectacular (!), and the lighting, which is my pet peeve, was just perfect, emulating the Edison bulb throughout. The warm, amber glow made us all feel younger (!!), and overall, we had an absolutely wonderful time. I do wish though, that the first faces that greeted us would have been more pleasant. No emotion or effort to greet us with a warm smile was exhibited, and we were initially very disappointed that neither the hostess or the person she gave the ticket to seat us, went out of their way to show a little emotion…. perhaps a smile (?) or just a friendly “Hello, welcome, we are happy to see you here tonight; is it your first time dining with us at Mr. Edison?” to start would have made us feel welcomed. It wasn’t until we met Glen and Missy that our opinion of Mr. Edison changed for the better. Thank God for them! Even the support team- the bussers- were happy, professional and a joy to interact with. This restaurant is by far THE prettiest and most romantic in Philly, and definitely a special occasion place - bc the price point is very high, but the food and drinks are delicious, and with the complimentary live jazz nightly, it ended up being a true bargain for a night to remember. Thank you all who made that possible!More infoMr. Edison - Bellevue Hotel$$$$• American• Center City•4.5
