Best Contemporary European Restaurants in Morningside

Great value deal - £35pp for 2 cocktails, a glass of prosecco and 2 small plates. The four dishes we had between two of us were lovely (pigeon, croqueuttes, prawns and cacio e pepe with risotto). Staff were super friendly, very attentive and didn't rush us from our table. The singer was great and the DJ who started at 6pm, played some brilliant disco tunes which had poeple up dancing. Really great day and night.

Excellent value for money. 3 friends decided to book lunch offer. Lovely atmosphere, quality food and service just as required. Definitely will return.

We happened to dine here when our first choice was full. We are so glad to have been bumped to this dining establishment also located in the Apex Waterloo place hotel. Make this your first choice for fine dining in Edinburgh. I happen to love fresh mussels cooked in a cream, butter, garlic sauce. I asked about the portions as I’ve been dissatisfied with both the quantity and quality of the dish in previous restaurants. Our server was a Ukrainian girl. She described the dish in detail. Upon arrival it was everything as described. Approximately 80 mussels in total. My party of four was overwhelmed by the quality of each dish. I cannot rate this establishment higher.

We had the most wonderful experience. Our waiter, Carlos, was exceptional! He made us feel so welcomed and special. He was informative and very professional while being warm and charming. I had the Red Deer Saddle and it was to perfection. Among us we had chicken Caesar salad, scallops and roast cod. All were perfectly prepared and presented. We truly enjoyed the restaurant atmosphere, such comfortable seats.
