Set menu great value with good choices. Service impeccable. The staff are lovely.

Yet another great lunch at No 35. It ticks all the boxes and never disappoints. My lunch consisted of Crayfish Tail salad, featherblade of beef, and a tasty Apple Tarte Tatin to finish. It was accompanied by a very drinkable half bottle of Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon. What’s not to like!

We happened to dine here when our first choice was full. We are so glad to have been bumped to this dining establishment also located in the Apex Waterloo place hotel. Make this your first choice for fine dining in Edinburgh. I happen to love fresh mussels cooked in a cream, butter, garlic sauce. I asked about the portions as I’ve been dissatisfied with both the quantity and quality of the dish in previous restaurants. Our server was a Ukrainian girl. She described the dish in detail. Upon arrival it was everything as described. Approximately 80 mussels in total. My party of four was overwhelmed by the quality of each dish. I cannot rate this establishment higher.
