Came here with friends for a pre-TIFF bite. We left planning to return again next year... or much sooner! We came between lunch and dinner and the bites menu was extensive. We ordered the calamari (my friend tells me it was top notch!) pakoras (delicious green chutney) halloumi fries (fried to perfection and crispy without being oily while allowing the cheese to be just the right amount of gooey in the centre) and a large caeser salad to share, which was gone much faster than any salad I've seen shared. Amongst us we ordered the Blushing Bunny, the Pimm's Cup and the house wine. $10 wines and $12 cocktails for happy hour!? Wild! All were beautifully presented and delicious. Service was impeccable. Water was always filled, and any requests we made (bacon on the side, an extra glass of ice etc) were immediately listened to and fulfilled. Thanks to the whole front and back of house team!

It was our first time at the Dorset. We found the service impeccable and the staff were all pleasant and helpful. The food was delicious and was a perfect quantity. A hearty serving, but not too much. The only comment was the the huge Yorkie was a bit dry - but that is being a bit picky. My only mild complaint was that the music was slightly too loud. Otherwise, very comfortable seating and a cozy but chic ambiance. Would absolutely return!

Beautiful restaurant, excellent vibes. The Seagull is a perfect cocktail. Food was incredible- the chicory salad and the monkfish were a standout for me.

Had a great experience at Compton Ave. The ambiance was fantastic, but the service really stood out. Everyone we interacted with was professional, genuinely friendly, conversational, and incredibly accommodating. Even the booking process and handling changes was effortless and pleasant. Nice spot, easy to get to. We are from Barrie and were in town to go to a show at The Elgin and Wintergarden Theatre. The food was hot and tasty, the drinks were cold and delicious. Between the 4 of us, we had the chicken BLT, fish and chips, steak and ale pie and the English Dip. The server who brought our food complimented our choices and said we got awesome food. Everything was hot and fresh, great taste and was quite filling. I'd go again for sure!

Staff and Service were outstanding. For some reason Opentable had reservations available before the restaurant even opened. The waitstaff and kitchen did not hesitate to accommodate us.
