This is one the BEST Japanese food places in DC. I have been to multiple places including the high end ones where they don’t let you even have a soda with your meal to the hole in the wall sushi spot. Their hamachi roll was SOOOO good that I ordered two. Even my friend who hates eating raw food was thoroughly impressed. Other items I really loved: the beef gyozas, the spicy tuna roll, and edamame. I wasn’t a huge fan of the miso cod because it was a little too sweet for me. Other than that, everything was amazing. I can’t wait to return.

My wife and I attended the exclusive Jont x Lysée experience and we were blown away once again with all aspects of the meal. It was especially rewarding to have Chef Ratino in house (he was absent at our last visit to Jont) and we really enjoyed the savory bites he and his team prepared alongside the absolutely divine pastry dishes from Chef Eunji Lee of Lysée. They are two of the best in their fields and we were lucky to snag a reservation the moment they went live. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation ASAP, whether it's a one-off collaboration or random Wednesday evening dinner. World class!
