We had the surf and turf. It was absolutely delicious. The lobster tail small, but quite sufficient was beautifully sweet and perfectly cooked. The bavette , a cut of meat I’ve never had before was cooked to perfection and was extremely tasty. It came with great chips and two lovely sauces. Really enjoyed this food. The staff are professional and friendly, the ambience is great. The Cartford is my number one favourite spot. Patrick, Julie and the team are consummate professionals who offer exquisite food at a stunning Riverside location . If you haven’t tried it, you have missed a treat.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere with a retro vibe. Very attentive service and our 6 year old was made to feel really welcome. Food was delicious with generous portions. The garlic potatoes were especially good. The children’s menu was thoughtful and appealing. Good range of wines and beers, including 0% alcohol.
