Best Georgian Restaurants in Bounds Green/Wood Green

Food was amazing 😻 Nice wine and atmosphere☺️ I definitely recommend this place 🫶🏻

Although I arrived just as they were opening and preparing tables etc and ahead of the rest of my party, a staff member who was leaving invited me in, sorted me out a table and I was able to sit and have a drink while waiting and have an early look at the menu. Staff were very friendly throughout but service was not obtrusive My main problem was that there were too many tempting dishes to try! I wanted to have borscht because it's a long time favourite of mine going back to a business trip to Moscow. Their offering was a little spicier than I remember - probably a regional variation - but still excellent. We added a number of hot starters to share and they were all delicious. By the time I got to my main course - katnis lobia (bean stew) to which I'd foolishly added chunky chips with plum sauce (both great) I was relieved to see that it came in a relatively small, innocuous-looking container - a sort of mini-cauldron. Appearances can be deceptive... It was tasty but the container seemed like a mini-TARDIS! It was quite a solid dish and I ate about 1/3rd and had to admit defeat and ask for a take-away container. This didn't seem to surprise the waitress, LOL. That pretty much took care of dinner for me next day. The home-made bread served with several dishes was really nice and met with my (French) wife's approval - not easy... None of us could manage a dessert and we all agreed a return visit is needed. One other thing - my wife came back from a visit to the toilets enthusing about how clean they were - "spotless". My expectations for the Men's toilets were therefore raised, but still surpassed. I had to agree with my wife and that attention to detail and cleanliness is a good sign for everything else. A great meal and a great evening.
