My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Max Downtown, and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. Admittedly, I was not in the best of moods when I arrived. Parking was a problem when you have a pickup truck, so I was in a foul mood. The host/manager who greeted us brought a bright and happy energy that instantly put me in a better frame of mind. I even took a moment to pull him aside and let him know how much I appreciated it. Our server was warm and attentive without being smothering. The appetizers (tuna tartare and the soup special) were good, and the entrees were excellent. My wife got the barrel-cut filet, and our server recommended the Picanha steak, which was phenomenal. To cap off our experience, every server or table attendant wished us 'Happy Anniversary," which made the overall experience feel special. Looking forward to celebrating our next special occasion there.

Always enjoy our annual visit to the Black & White Grill. This time had reservations so we were seated right away. But we never complained about a wait, just relax & get a drink from the bar. Waitstaff always friendly. Food always tasty & plenty for take home. Great local place for a meal or don't forget the ice cream take out bar.

reservation process was easy and table was ready when we arrived. Service was great and food was delivered in a timely manner. All meals were delicious and portions were large, so everyone went home with something to eat later. Since this was also a birthday celebration, there was a bowl of ice cream and a candle that was brought to the table with a rounding rendition of "Happy Birthday" being sung! Definitely recommend!
