- EEliseWashington, D.C. Area •8 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWhat a truly special place Portland has with Solo Italiano. The food was outstanding. Every course was cooked to perfection (the octopus tender, the pasta al dente) and the flavors transporting. The service was beyond words. From our charming host to our wonderful server to the attentive assistants, we felt so welcomed! We had a complicated group with one severe nut allergy and one sensitive celiac, and it was not a problem. Our server asked us all the right questions, guided us expertly through the menu, and made us feel so comfortable with everything we ordered. The assistant staff was also very attentive without rushing. One asked if we were still working and noting that we were disappeared with a “please take your time” and didn’t try to clear plates or hurry the diner still eating. Such a pleasure to be able to enjoy good food, in an accommodating environment that gives their diners time and space to enjoy their meal. Thank you to all the staff for their hospitality and the kitchen team for an amazing meal.More infoSolo Italiano$$$$• Italian• Portland•4.6

Huge portions, delicious food, and we loved the physical space; very cool, clean and unblemished, with touches of 1950's memorabilia on the walls. The service was very friendly as were the other patrons in the restaurant during our visit. Great experience and we will be back!More infoBenny's$$$$• Italian• Portland•4.5
- GGeorgeNew York City •11 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoThe moment we walked into Isa we were met by the most friendly and welcoming people ever. The hostess / possibly owner, the bartender / possibly owner, and our server were truly thankful we were visiting Isa and treated us as such. The menu was not overwhelming but provided enough choices for everyone’s palate. The food was off the charts fantastic. Well prepared and artistically presented. For staters we had the grilled octopus with chickpeas. It was cooked perfectly. Our main meal was spiced shrimp with linguinis. The spices on the shrimp were very interesting and tasty but not too hot. We closed out with a very innovative and great tasting cheesecake with little bits of apple on top with a nice syrup or sauce. When in Portland Maine do not pass up Isa. It is truly a neighborhood gem.More infoIsa Bistro - Portland$$$$• Bistro• Portland•4.9
- JJohnGreater Boston •1 review5.0Dined 7 days agoFabulous! Tony and Chelsea are master restaurateurs. Imaginative cuisine, great execution, a menu that's not too big and not too small--just right! From basic to haute Sicilian. Best restaurant north of Portland and as good as any there.More infoPomelia$$$$• Italian• Brunswick•4.9
- JJoyGoldNew York City •22 reviews5.0Dined on 26 Sept 2026This was our first time at The Corner Room. We were pleasantly surprised. Our server Shawn was attentive without being a pest. The food was delicious. Our table ordered salads, chicken parmigiana, cioppino, gemelli with pesto and salmon. Every dish was well seasoned and tasty. We split a carafe of wine with our friends and the carafe was split equally between our checks. What a great thing and no complaints from the staff. Bravo. We will be back next year on our annual Portland trip.More infoThe Corner Room$$$$• Italian• Portland•4.6
