Excellent Autumn Menu. Magical White Onion Soup followed by reliable MSC Fishcake & poached egg. Sensibly priced New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc correctly chilled. Pleasant locals on a Saturday evening as fellow diners. Comfortable noise levels. Excellent service from knowledgeable Katie our waitress. Lussmanns is still the best dining option in competitive St Albans !

Service was quick, the waitress was friendly, smiley and attentive, the food was delicious and the place was full, so a good atmosphere. Left feeling like it was my new favourite Harpenden restaurant.

A gem in the countryside! I was looking for somewhere new to take my wife for a birthday lunch. This venue came up in my search and it looked fab… and it turned out to be exactly that. Great food… some of the usual suspects but lots of new ideas too, including sesame boa buns, cauliflower steak and chicken schnitzel. All delicious and different. Great service… the staff were attentive, smiley and knowledgeable. Great venue… nicely kitted out with interesting planting in the beer garden, a kids play area and views to sheep filled fields.

Restaurant service was excellent. Food was great. ..as always. Key problem - Open Table did not register my request for an extra diner joining us and fortunately a larger table was available. (I had sent a message just after 7am on the day - prior to a 1pm booking.) Open Table needs to wake up!
