Isla was our server. She was incredible. We didn't have long - early dinner as we were going to the theatre, and she just got it. She understood that we needed to be a bit swift with our meals, bu we didn't feel rushed at all. Food was very tasty, the perfect size for our fairly hungry selves and the spicy margarita was REALLY good. I have reviewed many restaurants in my journalism career, and know hard it is to get all elements working together well - ambience, speed of service, acoustics, ratio and size of seats to table, great drinks and bar to accompany and complement the food, not to forget the washrooms (very important for women especially) and GOOD front of house staff. The Ivy in Bournemouth has a difficult location to battle with (in my opinion), but has all the elements nailed. And all thanks to waiting staff like Isla. Give that girl a bonus!
