Best Scottish Restaurants in Achnasheen

Visited The Mustard Seed on Saturday, from the minute we arrived until the minute we left the service was excellent. The restaurant was busy but staff still took time to speak to us. The food was amazing and the price was great value for what we received. We go every time we are in Inverness and it never fails to disappoint.

Outstanding!! We were on the top floor and it was very quiet when we went to bed. The room was lovely. Great view of the river in the window seat. Loved popping downstairs for dinner, a dram, and live music! We will definitely stay here again!

Warm welcome, excellent food, service and good value. This was the best of all the restaurants we visited during our tour of the Highlands. The quality of both the cooking and the ingredients was really good. I had a great fish chowder, my husband had a merguez sausage dish, both first class.

Mushroom soup, crab bruscetta, hot chicken wings and mussels were all fantastic Creole salmon great. Seafood linguine great, but pasta slightly overcooked. (Seafood itself not overcooked). Scallops and black pudding and apple dause okay... combination didn't quite work. Apple sauce needed more acidity. Scallops more caramelisation. But this is all being picky. We loved it. Great place, great food, great service.

Cafe 1 was terrific! Staff were friendly and took us to our cozy table right away. The drinks and food were delicious. Highly recommend anything on the menu from the Chef's background - we really loved the Scottish Monkfish, Mussel & King prawn rendang!
