O Fine Japanese Cuisine was a great find. The food was fresh, delicious, and refreshingly authentic — this is traditional Japanese cooking, not the Americanized versions you find at so many places. Eating here genuinely reminded me of being back in Asia, which is hard to come by.
The one letdown was the service. It didn't match the quality of the food or the elegance of the decor — servers seemed to be there just to take orders and clear plates, more like what you'd expect at a cheap, no-frills spot rather than a restaurant of this caliber.
Still, the food alone makes it worth a visit. I'd go back for the cuisine and just keep my expectations modest on the service side.
