We had a wonderful evening at The Catbird Seat. The open kitchen and counter seating made the experience especially enjoyable, giving us a chance to watch the chefs at work and hear them explain each dish.
The food was imaginative and beautifully presented, with some surprising combinations of flavors and textures. The little clam preparation and a caviar dish were particular favorites.
I also chose the wine pairing, which added another dimension to the evening. Our sommelier was knowledgeable and engaging, and I especially enjoyed hearing his descriptions of each wine before tasting it.
What stood out most was the staff. Everyone seemed genuinely enthusiastic about what they were doing, and they made the experience feel welcoming and relaxed despite the elaborate preparation and service.
It was a lovely evening, full of interesting food, thoughtful details, and enjoyable interactions. I’m glad we had the opportunity to experience it.
