Best Sushi Restaurants in Defeated

Great service and great food! Such an amazing steak!

The Boka Restaurant Group's offerings in Nashville's Wedgewood/Houston do not disappoint, and Momotaro is exceptional! I took my son, daughter-in-law and grandson there last evening, and they were thrilled, as was I, with the experience! This matters because they spent 4 years living in Japan, and they remarked how much the cuisine at Momotaro took them back to that time when they had the opportunity to enjoy excellent Japanese cuisine! The Dragon's Milk cocktail, the Blistered Shishito Peppers, Blue Fin Tuna Tartar and Scallop Motoyaki appetizers--amazing! The various sushi rolls were ALL so good, and the desserts unique and delicious, yet not too sweet. Surround all that with a tres cool decor and ambience, and you've got one fabulous evening!

It’s a testament to our server Miguel that he didn’t bat an eye at my almost animalistic behavior while consuming everything set in front of me. I’m fairly sure I interrupted his speech as he told us about the menu so I could order what I had my heart set on within the first minute of reading the menu. We started with the miso ginger salad, miso soup, lumpia, Korean fried chicken, and boa buns. Wait to judge me. There’s more and yes this was for 2 people. Five stars for all the dishes but out of all of these, the pork belly boa bun and fried chicken were the best. The salad was also phenomenal - eat your greens! I then required intermission to digest what most would say was a full meal twice over, but that was the warm up. I had a delicious lemon drop martini to cleanse the pallet before ringing the bell for round two. We ordered the baked crab hand roll, which initially made me question my ability to make life altering food decisions. I shouldn’t have worried because the subtlety with which the creamy crab and rice mixture almost melts in your mouth should not be underestimated. We followed this delightful second round with a melt in your mouth, make a priest want to sin Adobo pork belly fried rice creation that would make angels weep. So…my short answer is yes, everyone should detour here and experience a little bit of heaven.

I have been trying to get a reservation for Kase since it opened, and I am so happy I experienced it! The food was incredible, the experience was out of this world, and I loved every second of it.
