Went here for my mom’s birthday. Had a great experience! We’ve never had tempura omakase before and this didn’t disappoint. Every piece of tempura was fresh and fried right in front of us. The batter was light and crispy and paired really well with the in-house-made salts and sauces. The omakase had everything from fish, wagyu beef, uni, to yams. The service was impeccable with a very friendly chef, who made good conversation with us all night. We had the 12-course meal which was plenty - we were full by dish 10. Our favorites were the wagyu beef and the uni. My kids - 8 and 11 years old were with us and they surprisingly tried everything, even the tempura shrimp head. They loved it too. Highly recommend!

We always enjoy our time at Tono! Both the food and service are fantastic. Every dish we try is crafted with meticulous culinary design and bursting with bold flavours and quality ingredients. We can highly recommend both the chicken and short rib mains, they are incredible. As for apps, try the spicy tuna or crab tacos, wagyu robata or our favourite…the Jumbo prawn dynamite. The only caution I would provide is that the noise levels (especially during the weekends) are fairly high….so, if you prefer a more intimate and less boisterous venue, I would recommend dining here on a weekday evening. Either way…you will definitely enjoy your time here!

Great omakase experience. The sashimi was very fresh and each course was well thought out. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the pacing of the meal was just right. Excellent value for this quality — will come back again.

Can always expect good yakitori at Sumoki…today is less crowded than expected on a long weekend so I think the kitchen didn’t have to rush and really prepped the grilled onigiri especially well (crispy and flavorful)…
