Best Wine Bars in Nanton

Amazing food, fantastic wine, outstanding service! One of the best dining experiences I have had in my life. I was unsure of what I wanted to drink for wine at this wine bar and our server gave me two wine pairings for my food and vibe of the evening that knocked it out of the park. She was excellent. Will be back and would definitely recommend to others!

Attended a birthday party, the vibe and atmosphere was amazing. The whole crowd enjoyed the different wine and cocktail options. The staff was very friendly, polite and kept us all hydrated with fine choices of wine. Triston, Shae and Norma Jean were amazing.

Had an excellent dinner with a large group of friends. Marina M was outstanding with her recommendations and answering questions we had. Of course the steaks and sides were excellent. Definitely recommend Modern Steak.

There are so many great restaurants in Calgary and this is among our top picks. The menu is eclectic and broad enough that one can return regularly w/o having to repeat (although we do anyway - having some favorites). This time around, we had the bread, beet salad, gnocchi and a side of scallops. Flavours were all excellent - gnocchi was as fresh as pasta can be and the sauce was light enough to enjoy the pasta. The beet salad was a perfect blend of vegetable and cheese. And the scallops looked like Digby, although we didn’t ask. Again, the sauce was full of flavour but delicate enough to taste the scallops. The service is warm and attentive and blessedly unobtrusive.

This was the experience with Rick Campenelli. The whole evening was amazing start to finish. The menu was perfect, three courses, and Rick could not have been more personable or charming. It was our first “experience “ at Modern, we dine there regularly, and for sure we will be doing more of these special events. Definitely check out their various experiences. Well worth it.
