Best Gluten Free Restaurants in Peaks Island

This was the first time here for dinner. I did not know what to expect. When we arrived we were seated and our server incredibly nice. The menu was small but incredible creative. We orders appetizers, pasta and large plates. The appetizers were so good. We had to order a second order of oysters. The lamb pasta was cooked to perfection and was suck a concentration of flavor. Both the pork and chicken dishes were also a total balance of flavors. For a small menu there as a very high degree of creativity. I highly recommend this restaurant. I think it’s one of the most creative in Portland.

What a truly special place Portland has with Solo Italiano. The food was outstanding. Every course was cooked to perfection (the octopus tender, the pasta al dente) and the flavors transporting. The service was beyond words. From our charming host to our wonderful server to the attentive assistants, we felt so welcomed! We had a complicated group with one severe nut allergy and one sensitive celiac, and it was not a problem. Our server asked us all the right questions, guided us expertly through the menu, and made us feel so comfortable with everything we ordered. The assistant staff was also very attentive without rushing. One asked if we were still working and noting that we were disappeared with a “please take your time” and didn’t try to clear plates or hurry the diner still eating. Such a pleasure to be able to enjoy good food, in an accommodating environment that gives their diners time and space to enjoy their meal. Thank you to all the staff for their hospitality and the kitchen team for an amazing meal.

Wonderful outdoor dinner!! Prompt friendly service

This was our first time at The Corner Room. We were pleasantly surprised. Our server Shawn was attentive without being a pest. The food was delicious. Our table ordered salads, chicken parmigiana, cioppino, gemelli with pesto and salmon. Every dish was well seasoned and tasty. We split a carafe of wine with our friends and the carafe was split equally between our checks. What a great thing and no complaints from the staff. Bravo. We will be back next year on our annual Portland trip.
