Enjoyed a great lunch with friends yesterday. We felt very welcome as soon as we arrived and were shown to our seats. Our server really made it a brilliant experience and our friend who was celebrating her birthday felt very special. The food and service were amazing and we especially loved the potted meat and Yorkshire pudding starters. We made use of the £5 corkage on a Monday which was a great offer. Such a great experience all round and we are looking forward to returning.

Brilliant and unique whiskey selection. Fantastic view and excellent and accommodating service. Food was good especially mussels and monk fish. The fillet of sole was seasoned well, but unfortunately full of pin bones. Overall a very nice experience outside of the sole.

Had an amazing time here today for hubby's 60th birthday. Shout out to Jolene, the Duty Manager today who looked after us so well and Alberto who carved our meats to our exact preference of cut, giving us more when we asked with a smile 🥰. Some of the cold dishes in the market buffet were soooo tasty and I'm really not a salad fan! Nothing was too much trouble for these guys. Shout out to the others who served us, didn't get their names. We got asked several times if the meats were coming out fast enough and for us it was just right. Impeccable friendly service. We were a bit concerned with some of the previous reviews but so glad we ignored and tried for ourselves. We will most definitely return. Ps. Lovely touch with chocolate truffles on a happy birthday plate without requesting. 11/10 from us!

Absolutely incredible food! The best spot to eat in Edinburgh, honestly. The quality of the food, wine / cocktails, environment, and service are top tier. Just excellent and delicious. We’re visiting Edinburgh for 5 days and went back twice to eat here!

First time at Bucks Bar and will definitely be back. Chicken is beautifully cooked. Portions are big, in fact we could have shared the Alabama Chicken fillets and chips. I managed the 3 big fillets but left most of the chips. Best to book in advance as it's not a big place and several people who turned up on spec had to be turned away. I think it's very good value for money.

What a lovely experience! I went with a friend and everything was great from the moment we walked in until the time we left. The service was amazing, and the staff were so welcoming and attentive. The ambience was also fantastic a lovely atmosphere and the music was great and really added to the experience. We both had the Sunshine Bowl with grilled chicken, along with some drinks, and the food was absolutely delicious! 😋 We were especially glad we had booked a table because the restaurant was completely full, and even with a booking, we had to wait a few minutes for our table. It was my first time here, but definitely not my last. I’ll be back! ❤️10/10 — would definitely recommend!
