Food excellent and service superb! Everyone went well out their way to make us all feel welcomed and satisfied

We travel to Lafayette 3-4 times a year. One reason is to dine at Marcellos. The food is excellent. You know what you are going to get and they are consistent. On top of that, they really make you feel like they want you there. From the greeting by the hostess to her ushering us out at the end of our meal, every encounter was professional yet personal. This was our first time eating at Vestal. We started out by sharing the grilled wedge salad. It had the perfect amount of char from the grill and the bacon and candied pecans paired nicely with the miso gorgonzola dressing. We both had the whole fish, which turned out to be branzino. It was cooked beautifully and topped with green olives and greens. The dashi soy sauce brought everything together. I especially liked adding the jasmine rice into the sauce. The Mary Taylor Bordeaux blanc wine paired well with the fish. For dessert we shared the crème brûlée. Nice dessert that wasn’t overly sweet. The service was great. We will definitely be back.

Christian was an excellent waiter for our party that evening. Food was quick and hot.

This place is always great especially for happy hour appetizers & drinks plus early dining menu before 6 pm. This is our go to place plus rewards with Landry’s & also a bonus of getting a reservation with open table. We love Salt Grass!
