Best Restaurants for Foodies in Virginia Union University

We've been going to this location of Firebird's for several years. We always enjoy it, but there are some days better than others. Our recent visit was definitely top-notch! Service was so excellent, we made sure to tell the manager when they dropped by to see how our visit was going. We were there at lunch, so vibe was moderate, not as crowded, but definitely a good amount of people for lunch. The food was excellent, salads and smash burgers for the "Perfect Pair" menu. It was an excellent outing for sure. Host, waiter, kitchen, and manager... all top-notch! Thanks, we'll be back for sure!

A wonderful birthday lunch experience! Every dish plated beautifully and and our server was wonderful! ❤️ salmon and scallops perfectly cooked and presented! Lemon tart and birthday ice scream scoop with a happy birthday chocolate banner were a delicious end to a fun celebration.

The food and service was great the music was great.

The food at Small Batch Local Kitchen was excellent. I had the Brown Butter Scallop Risotto, which was cooked perfectly and really delicious, and my wife had the Bibb Wedge Salad with Salmon, which had a large, perfectly cooked piece of salmon on top of a fresh, delicious salad. We had the Chocolate Torte for dessert, which was superb. Our server David was very friendly, professional, and attentive. We had a wonderful experience and will likely be going back again in the future.
