Best Sunday Lunch Restaurants in Prestwich

It was my birthday and I chose the Hawksmoor to celebrate. My Husband and I took our own bottle of fizz for a corkage of £5 which was a great idea. It’s a Monday offer. We chose the three courses for £30. The starters were huge, and really enjoyable. My Husband said the potted beef was absolutely lovely. We both chose the rump steak and beef dripping chips for our main , my steak was really grisly (which spoilt it a little) but my Husbands was perfect. It was cooked to perfection. We chose the sticky toffee dessert which again was lovely. They even put a candle in my dessert for my birthday, and decorated the plate with a chocolate Happy Birthday which was a nice surprise. The service was excellent and we were topped up with fizz and water regularly. We both really had a lovely afternoon and loved the dining area and the originality and decor of the restaurant. We said we would return and we would recommend the Hawksmoor for a celebration or just a treat.

Mo our waiter was outstanding , very professional and attentive. One diner had complex dietary requirements ( gluten & Dairy ) and Mo ensured all the food chosen was suitable. Gaucho though known as a steak restaruant offers delicious fish dishes. Would recommend the Salmon Filet which was cooked to perfection !

We loved the bar and had a delicious afternoon tea. Fran and all the staff were extremely accommodating and made my mum and I really happy. Lovely birthday celebration for mum in sophisticated elegant ambience. Initially the music was a bit loud but they identified this and addressed it without prompting
