Best Restaurants for Afternoon Tea in Llanrwst

Our group meet at the Gwydyr each year and on the first night this year some of us booked a table. Worked very well and was calmly enlarged when other wished to join. Great service and great food.

Had lunch with my brother with a drink at the bar first. Along with our beer / glass of wine we were offered cucumber water - delicious. We had the Cool Britannia menu - salmon rillettes with rye bread and spicy halloumi cheese - both tasty and perfect size for a starter. We shared a bottle of wine with the meal;Minervois. Excellent. The mains of chicken and smoked salmon linguine were delicious too. The side dish of creamed spinach was outstanding for flavours. Karl / Carl delivered excellent service. We had a convenient table at the side of the room next to two other pairs celebrating birthdays and all received a mini brownie with sauce - a nice touch. We then shared a sticky toffee pudding - a perfect ending. The food was perfectly balanced and we felt replete as we picked up our coats at the cloakroom. A lovely experience. Will be back soon.

Only came for drinks at the end of the night for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. The young gentlemen comp'd our glasses of champagne! Then waived the bill for the drinks since they didn't have the Kaluha my wife wanted! How awesome! And the view, even at night was fantastic!

Good value, good quality, ample afternoon tea in great setting, overlooking the bay. Service efficient and attentive. Minor quibble - better to have had an individual jam portion, as the shared jam was a bit on the sparse side. Very happy to return.
