Best Restaurants with a Vibrant Bar Scene in Pearl City

Three of us went to Happy hour on a Tuesday at 5:15. It was crowded with a nice vibe. We had fish tacos, hummus with taro chips, which they refilled, & Szechuan green beans, which they happily prepared without oyster sauce for the vegan in our group. The lilikoi margarita was delicious. Service excellent. Such a fabulous place!

Kai was a cheerful and upbeat waiter, well informed about the menu and drinks. My wife likes her steak cooked just so, and Kai translated her wish to the chefs. Result: perfectly cooked filet. We were seated next to the beach and enjoyed all the activity below. Bali is our new favorite restaurant.

It's my second time eating here and I was even MORE impressed this time! When you walk in, you're confused because it looks like a food court. But Basalt has carved out it's own space and once you're seated, it's just like any restaurant. No matter about the entrance...THE FOOD!!!! There were four of us and we each had something different for dinner. We all gave 5 stars for presentation, portion and flavor. I had an appetizer of Peppered Shrimp (SO ONO!) Miso Black Cod was my dinner. It was to die for!! My friend had the watermelon salad with the crab cakes and both were excellent. I'm positive that you cannot have a bad meal at this restaurant. Our server (Kian) was very energetic, personable, and helpful! I suggest you try Basalt at least once! I think you'll be very happy!

So glad we decided to go to Chart House our first night in Honolulu! What a great vibe and the food was AMAZING. Everything was delicious, but specifically want to shoutout the mahi mahi… seriously the best mahi mahi we’ve ever had.
