Best Restaurants with a Vibrant Bar Scene in Portsmouth

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Jonathan’s! The Tuesday French Bistro menu was phenomenal, and the seafood au gratin was generously filled with seafood. The chocolate mousse was among the best I’ve ever had! A special thank-you to Carlos, our personable and attentive server, who went out of his way to make our anniversary special. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend Jonathan’s!

Hurricane is always on dinner rotation when I come to Maine. Always excellent! Last night was no exception. The 5 onion soup was delicious and the chocolate mousse was the best I ever had. Service is always great.

Honestly, it's pretty hard for me to give 5 stars on this app. These guys deserved it. Food was fantastic. Service lights out. Place is amazing, atmosphere is awesome. Would go again in a heartbeat.

We stopped in Newburyport on our way up to Maine and I had read good reviews of Sea Level. It did not disappoint! The restaurant's ambiance is very nice but not fussy at all. Our waitress (I'm so sorry I don't remember her name) was delightful! She was knowledgeable and very accommodating in answering our questions. She was attentive but not overbearing. My husband had the Salted Caramel Chicken Sandwich and I had a salad with chicken, and both were excellent. We would definitely go back to Sea Level if we're ever in Newburyport again. I highly recommend it.
