Best Restaurants for Handcrafted Cocktails in Haight

We came to Tiya to celebrate our 6 year anniversary, and honestly, I couldn't have picked a better place. From the moment we walked in, the entire experience was incredible. First, the restaurant itself is so cute, warm, and inviting. It has a really special atmosphere that immediately makes you feel comfortable and excited to be there. I had actually been working with the restaurant ahead of time because I wanted to surprise my partner for our anniversary. I had flowers delivered to the restaurant, and the host I had spoken with beforehand actually remembered me when we arrived, came over, and said hello. That small moment honestly meant so much to me. They helped make the surprise feel like an actual special occasion rather than just another dinner reservation. And then there was the FOOD. We did the tasting menu and it was next level. Every course was thoughtful, beautifully presented, and absolutely packed with flavor. My personal favorites were the pani puri, yogurt chaat, and chicken gushtaba. The pani puri was incredible, the yogurt chaat was such a fun combination of flavors and textures, and the chicken gushtaba was probably one of my favorite dishes of the entire night. Every course had us looking at each other like, "Okay, THIS is good." What made the night even more special was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was warm, friendly, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. Our servers, the bartenders, the sommelier, the host, everyone. We felt so welcomed and taken care of the entire night. There was such a genuine level of hospitality that you could tell wasn't just people doing their jobs. They really seemed to care about making sure we had an amazing evening. For our six year anniversary, they truly rolled out the red carpet for us, and we appreciated every little detail. It was one of those dinners where the food is amazing, but the people and the experience are what you end up remembering just as much. Thank you to the entire team.

Overall a great experience for a business lunch. The salmon was excellent. Service was fine but they were a bit understaffed so we waited a bit to order. Otherwise it was a high level experience.
