We had the tasting menu with wine pairing. It was spectacular. If you want to treat your special person to an amazing evening and experience, this is a must-do. It is expensive, and worth it.

An incredible and memorable experience; the once-in-a-lifetime style of fine dining for those of us who have to “save up” to afford to eat there. Food there is not just for sustenance, but to become art. Every course felt like its own little event. The presentation was exquisite, but more importantly, the food actually lived up to the beauty of the plate. The flavours were thoughtful, sometimes unexpected, and beautifully balanced. There is an incredible amount of creativity and skill behind what comes out of that kitchen, and you find yourself slowing down and appreciating each course rather than simply eating it. The service was exceptional. The servers were warm, knowledgeable, and attentive without being stiff or hovering. There is something quite remarkable about service that appears almost effortless, while you know perfectly well that an enormous amount of work is going on behind the scenes to make it feel that way. The room itself is beautiful and intimate, and the entire evening has a sense of occasion about it. Yes, this is an expensive meal. For many of us, it is the kind of place reserved for a very special occasion, rather than somewhere we can casually pop into for dinner on a Tuesday. But that is also part of what made it so memorable. The chef even took time to visit with us for a discussion of our experience. DaNico isn’t simply about being fed exceptionally well. It is about experiencing what happens when food, artistry, imagination, service, and atmosphere all come together. A genuinely extraordinary evening and one we will be talking about for a very long time.
