Delicious Sunday Lunch, warm and friendly but efficient service , a relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be back with friends and highly recommend.

We had a lovely 3 course Sunday lunch at the Mermaid, can't fault it, friendly staff, excellent service and food and I think great value given the setting. Thank you all, we will be back soon!

Greeted by name upon arrival, offered choice of table, served promptly and knowledgeably by friendly and attentive staff who enjoyed chatting about the dishes on offer. Great wine and beer selection. The food was fantastic - fresh, high quality and very fairly priced. Delicious trout paired with fennel and dill, great starter. The lamb was cooked beautifully and the goat curd pairing was out of this world. Loved the decor and ambience, perfect low-lit gastropub atmosphere. Nothing to fault, everything to praise.

Chef Josh cooked one of the best Italian meals I've ever had outside Italy. It was one of those meals that actually starts making you tear up a bit over just how good it is. And I'm not even Italian. The Panelle was absolutely delicious, very crispy and so flavourful. The Rigatone Amatriciana was just out of this world. Proper Last Meal type stuff. Fresh side salad with lashings of dressing, perfect balance to the rich pasta. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff, focused and varied wine selection, great ambience and atmosphere. It was just simply a brilliant restaurant experience. Will definitely be back.
