Duck breast was wonderful, as good as I've had anywhere. Green beans as a side dish were also exceptional. Creme brulee for dessert was also outstanding. Service was first class. Noise in the restaurant was minimal, even with quite a few diners (possibly too busy paying serious attention to the food to make much noise). Ambience was also first rate. Definitely going back. An experience not to be missed.

The most sensational food in the most beautiful setting. Fast service and delicious food. We would definitely fly back from Qld for the weekend just to eat here.

The meals were pretty high standard. My eye fillet was outstanding. My partners seafood bisque was nice, but she would have preferred it to be a bit creamier. The apple pies were delightful. Service was good with the only issue being that the coffee machine was turned off before we finished eating, hence we missed out on coffees.

Food was great and the arrival onto the property was fantastic coming over the bridge and seeing swans and cygnets and ducks and ducklings. The cherry trees were in bloom so it was magnificent. The entry was a bit hidden though. We went to the Front door and rang the bell but I don’t think that was the proper entry. Old world authentic feel from 1800’s. Food was fantastic . Table service was excellent.would be great venue for a wedding or romantic getaway or just rest and relax. I didn’t take the advice of the chef for the hangar steak and it was a bit chewy. Otherwise was excellent meal.

The meal of fish tacos for entree and lamb shank for my main, was amazing. I love fish tacos and these were great. Lamb shank was juicy and tender, as it should, combined with the gravy mash, with fresh al dente vegetables. What a winner! Previous meal of duck confit was beautifully cooked, with mouth watering crispy skin. My favourite entree was baked potato with chorizo in an infused oil served in a hot iron pan, very unique. Excellent choice of dishes and a local wine list to complement the food. I would also try the local range of teas available. The functional fire place within the historic setting, adds to the ambience.

Our food and drinks were served quickly by friendly and efficient staff. The eggs benedict was superb and the prawn linguini delicious and filling. Definitely going for breakfast/lunch again.

Excellent service overall especially by Boon. Food delicious and great value for money. Minor hiccup with my main course being delivered before I was ready. One of my faves in Hobart and a definite return to. Highly recommended.
