First time visit, food very good. Nice conservatory. Friendly helpful staff, would thoroughly recommend. Lovely secluded setting.

Ugly Bird sets a high bar for every element of the experience of going there. Well they have just raised that bar!!! From the warm welcome when you arrive to the 'new menu' everything is just amazing. Thanks for a wonderful night, cannot wait to come back again and carry on exploring that amazing menu. Excellent service with a friendly welcome. Unfortunately the menu has been reduced so less choice than before. The food that we had was exceptional. Cocktails amazing! Will defo revisit

I have quite a tricky relationship with mussels. I absolutely adore them — but only when they’re prepared properly. There should be no unpleasant smell whatsoever, and the sauce needs to be made with good-quality cream and wine. I honestly can’t think of another place in the UK, not just on the Isle of Wight, that comes close to the mussels Baywatch serves at its summer dinners. They are genuinely exceptional. Definitely come and try them for yourself — you won’t be disappointed.

Food was excellent and staff were great. Not the place for a romantic dinner as lots of children running around.
