We had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent and we appreciated the service and renovation very much. We started with the Iceberg Wedge Salad (Crisp iceberg lettuce, homemade creamy blue cheese dressing, crispy bacon, organic egg, cherry tomatoes, radish, and chives) and Lobster Bisque. The salad was underwhelming, clearly the least of our dishes. The bisque had a lot of lobster in it and had a wonderful taste of the sea, but I would have preferred some sherry, too. One entree was Crab Meat Gnocchi & Truffle (Potato gnocchi with jumbo lump crab, crab sauce, and fresh black truffle shavings). It was delicious. The crab was not lump crab, but the dish was still delicious. I had Pan-Seared Duck Breast (Pan-seared duck breast, served medium with cauliflower and carrot purées, cherry–Pinot Noir reduction). It was excellent. The fruity reduction was great as were the purees, especially the carrot. There was also a green pea puree, which I liked. One of our favorite items was a mushroom risotto. Fantastic! We had the chocolate volcano cake, too, which was nice. Overall, they have done a wonderful job renovating the old restaurant, turning it into a truly upscale venue (there is still outside seating with wonderful views of the bay). Overall, we gave the restaurant 4.5 out of 5 stars.
