Immediately you notice the cool vibe! We had excellent service, even when I received the wrong meal, they worked quickly to correct it! The wine was very good and not over priced.

Great food , very fresh and good portion sizes. Fun and modern cool environment with great selection of drinks. Very friendly and professional service from all of the staff. Highly recommended, I will most definitely return and tell people about this great place. Oh and very good music playing at all times . An amazing all-round experience. Nothing negative to say.

Our first time at Akbar Indian Restaurant and definitely not our last. I booked a table for dinner with my American colleague and we both really enjoyed the whole experience. We started with a cold Kingfisher beer and cumin papadums, served with homemade mint sauce and mango chutney — such a nice way to begin the evening. The Mint Tikka and Paneer Pakora were great starters, and for the main course we had the King Prawns Jalfrezi and Lamb Shahi Korma. Both were full of flavour and went perfectly with the Bhindi Bhaji, Aloo Gobi, vegetable biryani, paratha, chapatis and butter naan. We finished with Rabri and Pistachio Kulfi, which was a lovely ending to the meal. Everything we ordered was tasty, well prepared and full of flavour. We had a really enjoyable dinner and would happily come back next time we are in Amsterdam. Definitely worth booking if you enjoy good Indian food.

The best Indian restaurant I’ve been to , outside of London or Mumbai. The Lamb Biriani was divine! The Service was wonderful.

Food and service was outstanding the server and owner checked on us several times and my wife's expresso martini was excellent, can't say enough good things about the resturaunt. First time in Amsterdam and glad we found this place, highly recommended.
